“आई, तुला आता कळतंय ना?” हो, तुम्ही बरोबर ऐकलंत. एकेकाळीआपल्या मुलांकडून आपण ऐकायचो — “आई, तुला नाही कलणार.” हो ना। खरं तर हे वाक्य ऐकलं की मन थोडं चुरचुरतं. आपल्या सगळ्या प्रयत्नांना जणू कोणी नाकारलं, असं वाटतं. खरं तर सांगत असतात –“आई, माझं जग तुझ्यापेक्षा वेगळं आहे, तू थोडं माझ्याकडे ये.”
पण आज आपण प्रयत्न करतोय ते “कळत नाही पासून आता कळतंय ना” या टप्प्यापर्यंत पोहोचायचा. कारण जेव्हा आपण त्यांच्या जगात पाऊल टाकतो,
तेव्हा “आई तुला नाही कलणार” हे वाक्य बदलतं — “आई, तुला कळतंय ना?”

There was a time when we often heard from our kids — “Mom, you won’t understand.”
Isn’t that true? Every time we heard those words, our hearts would ache a little — as if all our efforts to connect were being dismissed.

But what they were really saying was,
“Mom, my world is a bit different from yours… come a little closer to mine.”

And today, we’re making that effort — to move from ‘You won’t understand’ to ‘You do understand now, don’t you?’

Because the moment we step into their world, that one sentence changes —
From “Mom, you won’t understand” to “Mom, you get it now, right?”
