Today our guest is Avik Roy, one of the most powerful speakers on the importance of competition and what real-world competition does for consumers. Avik has helped shape the national conversation on prescription drug policy. He's authored The Competition Prescription: A Market-Based Plan for Affordable Drugs, and What Medicare Can Learn from Other Countries on Drug pricing.

Active in the pharmaceutical industry for more than 25 years, Bob held various positions at the Generic Pharmaceutical Association (now the Association for Accessible Medicines) from 2007 through June 2015, including Interim President and Executive Director.

Vinita set up Lupin Pharmaceuticals Inc. in the U.S and Europe and was instrumental in formulating and executing strategies that helped Lupin emerge as a global pharmaceutical player. Among her many accomplishments, Vinita founded, led and established Lupin’s largest region, the United States.
