Happy Cleaners follows the lives of a Korean-American family, the Choi family, as they navigate personal struggles, cultural clashes and inner angst while trying to keep their dry cleaning business open in Flushing Queens, N.Y. The filmmakers capture the essence of what it's like to live in their hometown, Flushing Queens, and connecting immigrant stories from all around the world. This featured film will tug at your heart strings, make you laugh, cry, but most importantly, feel at home.
We interview Julian Kim (Co-Director & Writer), Peter Lee (Co-Director & Writer), and Kat Kim (Producer & Writer) about their experiences and their personal journeys on creating Happy Cleaners.
