The poet/lover wants to go to the beloved’s door and see if she comes out. He has been loyal to her forever and wants to try if his loyalty has had an effect. The implication is that he knows she will not come out, but he still wants to try.

vahiiN phir bhii jaane ko jii chaahta hai    1.gathering
It may be any gathering but most probably, closest to poetic convention it is the beloved’s gathering from which the poet/lover was ejected. He wants to return to the same gathering, in the vain hope that his luck may have changed.
    3

The old wounds of his love have begun to heal. He wants to get wounded again. This does not necessarily imply that he seeks another beloved. Given the poetic convention it is the same universal beloved that all poets/lovers have.
