Well, someone did and this week Geordie looks into the 40-year-old true-life story of the missing Barcelona Railway Kids. In 1984, Elvira, Ricard and Ramón, dressed in designer clothes, were left to wait at a Barcelona train station while their driver went off to fetch them some sweets. Hours later, worried railway workers realised the three young children had been abandoned and the trio were handed over to the police, who at the time weren’t too worried – surely someone would come forward to claim the children? But they didn’t - no one was looking for these children. So why were the children abandoned? What happened to their parents? Who was the man in the fancy car that dropped them at the station? And why, for 40 years, has no one ever come looking for the children, who now have families of their own?
