As you know, we’ve been working hard on maintaining our boundaries and practicing forgiveness. Well, today, Tonesha is diving into a real reason behind some of these issues that might come up. You may resonate with some of the reasonings behind her feelings today.  Recently, Tonesha stepped up to take care of her absent father, who had to undergo surgery and needed 24-hour care. This experience pushed up against those boundaries and made her realize that forgiveness does not mean forgetting.

Each of our childhoods is different, and while this type of situation may not speak to you, many Gen-X women have found that they can relate in some fashion.  Whether it’s through divorced parents, missing parents, or perhaps the additional burdens placed on them to take care of siblings or cousins, we each have a story.  Behind those stories lies deep routed disappointments that have brought about the necessity of forgiveness.
