We have a deep need to have a connection with our father. They define us and give us our identity. When we don't have a good father or no father, we look for someone or something to give us that sense of Identity and affirmation. Christ came to connect us to God the Father Almighty so that regardless of our family of origin, God can speak to us in that place of fatherly connection.
