In 'Goll as Gaccan' Phil Gawne recites the words of a rhyme associated with a custom that was held on St Catherine's Day by the old style (that appears to be 6th December on the modern calendar) and we hear Caarjyn Cooidjagh singing the song. After that, there's another lesson from First Lessons in Manx for us - and it's advanced Manx as well. We have a story in 'Claare ny Gael' called Yn Gioal (The Wager), and it was written originally in English by Simon J Wood. Six young girls from the Bunscoill Ghaelgagh sing a song for us in 'Traa dy Liooar', then we hear a conversation between John (Jack) Gell and Ned Maddrell, before we hear another extract from Pargys Caillt (a paraphrase in Manx of Paradise Lost) in the recording made by John (Jack) Gell in 1980.
