The uncle of Iryna Zarutska, who was stabbed and killed on a light rail train, breaks his silence in a "GMA" exclusive interview.

"Those stories can never be forgotten."

While President Donald Trump has called for an end to political violence following the assassination of Charlie Kirk, he did not recognize or acknowledge the recent threats, violent attacks and killings of Democrats.

It happened around 2:15 a.m. in the 1100 block of Pettis Place.

"It will be a symbol of resilience, unity, and the incredible power of partnership," Mayor Carol Pritchett said.

It happened Thursday just before 11 p.m. along the 2500 block of Caledonia Circle.

"We take all threats of violence, particularly those involving mass violence, very seriously," Cumberland County Sheriff Johnathan Morgan said.

"It's a solemn day for us."

Decarlos Brown Jr., 34, was charged with the fatal stabbing of Iryna Zarutska.
