Marlon Lee was not just a town councilmember, he was a coach for Clayton High School's girls' basketball and volleyball teams.

"He had no trepidation about going. He was just excited to go in there. He was ready to give it his all, and that's what he did."

The driver arrested was believed to be the only one involved in the incident and it was not being investigated as an act of terrorism, police said.
