This is a wonderful episode to end this season on!
We get to hear from Camille McCutchon, a young horse trainer from Texas! She shares with us her insight on Mustang gentling and their behaviours. We went over signs of over stimulus, as well as the signs of relaxation.
I asked Camille her opinion on BLM issues and topics, its a great question raiser of what is the best method of management practice for the wild horses and burros.
Do not forget that Abi and The Mustangs will return on January 8th,2121! Have a wonderful rest of the year!
Stephanie Boyles Griffin is the Senior Scientist for the Wildlife Protection Department at The Humane Society of the United States (The HSUS). For more than 20 years, she has worked with federal and state agencies, non-governmental agencies, municipalities, corporations, and communities to develop and implement humane effective, and sustainable wildlife management policies and programs. She also to serves as a Commissioner on the Maryland Wildlife Advisory Commission.
In this episode, Stephanie gives us insight into her work and knowledge working on the Wild Horse Issues. She delivers her point very well and definitely offers some ideas for us to consider, pertaining to the issues themselves. Also, a huge shoutout to Stephanie for really guiding the conversation for me when it was difficult to know exactly what questions to ask! It really shows it is as important to her, as it is to me that this information is shared as a resource for the public. Enjoy the episode! Short and sweet guide for some beginner listeners! I go over different acronyms and abbreviations you may want to familiarize yourself with.
In this interview, I had an amazing conversation with Cynthia Fisher about burro training. She is a wealth of knowledge about owning and training burros/donkeys. We go over TIP training, the burro mentality, the difference between horses and burros, and much more! (episode is listed as explicit only because when talking about burros, they also referred to as "asses".)
