In Psalm 51, David cries, “Have mercy on me, O God,” trusting not in himself, but in God’s steadfast love. Psalm 145 overflows with praise to Yahweh the Lord, the God whose greatness is unsearchable and whose mercy is near to all who call on Him. He is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger, faithful in every word, lifting those who fall and satisfying every living thing. From generation to generation, His name is blessed—Yahweh the Lord, the hope and joy this song sings.

Ephesians 2 tells the turning point of every believer: we were dead in sin, carrying the weight of our brokenness, oh but God was rich in mercy. His great love made us alive with Christ, raised us from the dust, and brought us near when we were far away.
