Not everyone who starts a race finishes. The same can be true with the Christian life. This passage encourages us to daily be diligent to complete the race that's been set before us, and gives us practical ways for doing it.

Titus 2:1-15. How does the Gospel impact the way we live? Why does it matter how we live? Paul tells Titus to teach these truths to his congregation, which still applies to Christians today.

2 Timothy 1:8-14. Paul urges Timothy to keep the treasure that's been entrusted to him safe unashamedly. What does that have to do with you? It's been entrusted to you too.

2 Thessalonians 1:1-12. Paul writes to a congregation enduring intense persecution to comfort them with what God has done, God is doing, and what God will do to make all things right.

Colossians 3:12-17. Rather than asking "what would Jesus do?" a better question to ask is "what has Jesus done?" and then ask "What does Jesus demand?" Find out why.

Psalm 73:1-28. Ever find yourself doubting the goodness of God? You aren't alone. In this psalm, Asaph looks around him and determines that living a life of faith hasn't benefited him one bit. Then he enters a sacred space, is reminded again of God's goodness, and finds himself repenting and resting in God's goodness.

Ephesians 1:3-14. When was the last time you were awestruck by the beauty of God? How do we see His beauty? The beauty of God led Paul to pen the longest sentence in the Bible praising God for what He's done. May it bring you to a place of praise as well.

Galatians 3:10-29. A form of legalism was sneaking into the congregation at Galatia. Paul reminds these believers how people are saved. Perhaps it's a message your heart needs when similar forms of legalism lurk around your own heart.

2 Corinthians 11:1-15. Discernment is the ability to discern right from almost right, says Spurgeon. It's a skill that your eternity may depend on. That's why Paul warns the Corinthians of the harm of leaving the simplicity and purity of devotion to Christ. The warning is timely for us as well.
