Just over 7 weeks ago, Planned Parenthood clinics in Madison and Milwaukee began offering abortion services for the first time in more than a year. That was thanks to a ruling by Dane County Circuit Court Judge Diane Schlipper that determined that the the 1849 law that was previously being referenced to ban abortions applies to feticide, not abortion.
Host Ali Muldrow talks about what regained access looks like for folks needing abortions with Communications Consultant Analiese Eicher and Director of Legal Advocacy & Services Michelle Velasquez from Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin and Planned Parenthood Advocates of Wisconsin. They help us understand what restrictions still apply and what might come next.
