God gives us plenty of gifts, but He has given each of us all one identical gift that is truly the ultimate gift. But what does that mean for women who have chosen abortion? Does God take His gift back because we’ve done something awful? Do we have to earn this gift back? We are going to discuss that today and put your fears to rest. As we head into Christmas, we want to experience all of the joy that the birth of the savior gives us, but that can be hard when we don’t feel deserving of God’s ultimate gift. Today, I pray that this episode helps you see that you CAN have joy in God’s precious gift.

When you have an abortion, you are losing your child. While we cannot sit and compare the different ways we can lose our children, we do need to begin to acknowledge that children lost to abortion are just that - lost. We have experienced a loss. 

It’s so hard for us to understand that because we made the choice. What we were not adequately informed of was the fact that what we would experience in years to come is grief over the loss of that child. 

Forbidden grief in post-abortive women is so hard to navigate because when you feel you don’t have permission to move through your grief, you stay stuck in a stage for much longer. 

My prayer is that your grief won’t stay unresolved forever. We can’t go back in time and change our mind but we can move forward. When you are busy in life and desire privacy to grieve, it can be hard to find it but I’m going to give you some places today that may comfort you.

Recently, I was tasked with hosting some market research calls with women struggling with the pain of their abortions with the hope of knowing how to better steward the podcast. Quite frankly, I didn't think I would be able to find the 5 minimum women I needed for this project. 

I was surprised to have 10 of these market research calls with several more emails flooding my inbox with women wanting to help. I was blessed by every single conversation as these women shared their stories with me. I have promised to keep those stories and identities confidential, but today I did want to share one commonality: almost every single woman told me that they feel or have felt "alone" when it comes to their pain from abortion. 

Today's episode is here to tell you that you are not alone, that there are other women out there that know the pain that you are feeling, and that God has not once ever left your side. I pray this episode is an encouragement to you today. I had not planned on doing this episode, but the holy spirit led me to recording it.
