Abounding Grace

We’re in the middle of our study in Exodus, and right now going through the Ten Commandments. When God created the heavens and the earth, He instituted a 6 and 1 principle to us. Six days of work, and one day of rest. He now calls us to live that out week to week. Let’s talk about it, as we continue our series on the Ten Commandments. We’re developing a study in Exodus right now, and just digging into the Ten Commandments. The first command is a command of exclusive worship, and has to do with the worship of false gods. The second refers to the false worship of the true and living God! Before you think you’re above that sort of thing, you might want to give this a listen! Thou shalt have no other gods before me… it’s the first of the ten commandments. And we’ll take a careful look at it today on Abounding Grace as we continue pastor Ed Taylor’s new study of Exodus. We’ll start things off considering together why the law is important, or why study the ten commandments! We’re in the early going of a brand new series in Acts called, “Be the Church!” As we’ll learn today part of being the church involves taking the message of Christ out to our neighborhood, surrounding communities and world! We’re to be making disciples, and not consumers. That’s the main thrust of today’s message from pastor Ed Taylor in Acts chapter one. We are currently enjoying a verse by verse study through the book of Exodus, and today we’ll take a look at chapter nineteen. Throughout the Old Testament we find quite a number of laws from God, which may leave you wondering, “How does this apply to me today?” That’s one of the many questions we’ll set out to answer with pastor Ed Taylor. We’re in the middle of a new study in Exodus, and today we make a return visit to chapter nineteen. Those of you into serious mountain climbing know it’s not easy. You train for it, have the right shoes and equipment. But imagine trying to climb a mountain with sandals on, and none of your climbing gear! That’s where we find Moses. He was willing to brave the climb because he desperately wanted to hear from God. To support this ministry financially, visit: https://www.oneplace.com/donate/302/29?v=20251111

We’re in the middle of a new study in Exodus, and today we get back to chapter nineteen. On their way to the Promised Land, the children of Israel had a few stops. And God had some lessons for them along the way. It’s a reminder to us that God is always preparing us for what He has prepared for us! We’ve seen previously how God brought the children of Israel out of Egypt, and now they are in the wilderness and on the way to the Promised Land. But along the way, there were some noteworthy life lessons. Lessons we can benefit from too! We'll draw attention to some of them today.
