The Christian does not think God will love us because we are good said, C. S. Lewis, who went on to say, but that God will make us good because He loves us. And He does it from the inside out, and will stick with us till He’s finished. We’ve begun a study in Hebrews with its focus on Jesus. However, too many have settled for the shadow and don’t realize it. We’re starting the book of Hebrews today, that speaks of shadows verses substance. The new covenant verses the old. Jesus verses religion. And it begs the question which is better and to be pursued?

We see evidence of that in the suicide rate, or even just on the looks on people’s faces when their masks are off. But it’s a golden opportunity for the church to rise up and walk by faith.
