In this podcast, I talk about being Lesbian in the United States of America & what its like. Growing up as a lesbian in America, it wasn't always easy. As a lesbian, I noticed there being many stereotypes in the US, especially towards lesbians or other members of the LGBTQ community. In this podcast, I talk about the advocation of human and lgbtq rights. Trying to break stereotypes is a process. As a lesbian, I find that most people who aren't part of the community assumed that all lesbians must be good at sports. That isn't true and it made me inspired to try to break stereotypes. In this podcast, I talk about my hobbies and interests that I have such as art, writing, fashion, poetry, listening to music, photography, travelling, and many more hobbies. Being Lesbian myself, I learned that most lesbians are very versatile people. We have many hobbies and different interests, not all of us are the same. Lesbians are some of the most talented individuals, but I feel that some of us get overlooked. I feel that some of us also experience much hardships, unfair stereotypes, and discrimination. The whole point of this podcast was to not only spread awareness but to also try to eventually build community where LGBTQ+ members can coexist not only with themselves but others in the world. I also add at the end of the podcast, however I do still believe in god, but I want to advocate for both sides of my identity. Religion is still important to me, but also take pride in being Lesbian, a significant part of my identity. I am hoping that one day in society, it will be easier to be accepted. But getting rid stereotypes is what leads to that, and that's why it's so important. Of course, fully getting rid of stereotypes is impossible, but being able to fight back against them is important. At the very very end of my podcast, I talk about next weeks podcast which is going to be about a combination of topics. I feel that this subject pertains to me because I am a lesbian creator & artist. In the next podcast, I want to talk a little more about breaking barriers. Barriers might always be in the way, but its about working around the barriers.
