There's been a lot of conflicting rumors about the PS5's backwards compatibility: will it back compat all the way to the PS1?? Or is it not gonna back compat AT ALL? Yeah I know that's not a verb but let's make it one for the sake of this description. Ubisoft recently had an FAQ on their website stating that PS5 would not be backwards compatible with the PS3, PS2, or PS1 - but they've since deleted that statement and haven't clarified if they meant for Ubisoft games or for anything. So... back to more confusing Sony back compat messaging! Didn't we do this story a couple months ago?
