  • ATR #138 – #NoShameNovember 2018 w/ Adal Rifai!
It is time once again for the annual #NoShameNovember episode! This year I have a very special guest joining the show: Adal Rifai (@AdalRifai) from “Hello From The Magic Tavern”! We attempt to not feel shame about our choices, but that does not always work out.

The premise of the #NoShameNovember episode is to talk about the movies, TV shows, music (or food), that we love, even though we do not always admit it! Even though we try not cast, or feel for our choices, each of definitely roasted the other person a few times, but hey, that is what friends are for.
Adal Rifai is a comedian, Chicago improv legend, podcaster, and professor, and was gracious enough to spend time in his busy schedule to be a guest on this episode. He is always juggling about 10 different projects, and I have included links below to some of the big ones!

    0m:00s – 2m:45s: Intro to the show
2m:45s – 37m:00s: Getting to know you: Adal Rifai
Discussion of our #NoShameNovember choices, round robin style

37m:00s – 44m:45s: Adal’s first choice are two pop musicians that he has seen in concert (much to my surprise)
44m:45s – 52m:50s: My first pick is an entire genre of TV shows that I watch hours of every week: Baking/ cooking competition shows
52m:50s – 58m:30s: Adal’s second pick are two competition reality TV shows that feel like they have been on the air for 50 years
58m:30s – 1h:03m: My second pick is an action comedy/ spoof from 2003 that is a sequel to a reboot of a TV franchise about badass women spies
1h:03m – 1h:10m: Adal’s last pick is a seafood restaurant chain that I have not even seen in probably 20 years
1h:10m – 1h:19m: My last pick is another genre choice, that mainly have to do with films like “Conan the Barbarian/ Destroyer”, “Red Sonja”, “Gladiator”, “300” and more
1h:19m – 1h:20m: Adal’s honorable mention is a hilarious western with Jackie Chan & Owen Wilson
    * 1h:20m- 1h:24m: My honorable mentions are two phone games involving Candy and Dots
