Above the Board with Josh and Phil

Now we're amateur dracologists? Moth dragons? Custodial Coy Wyrms? Homely Fae Newts? Paying dragons to lay eggs? It's a delight!

Josh and Phil excitedly unbox our Commander Fallout decks! We'll discuss classic fantasy RPGs and D&D and Lord of the Rings before we get into discussing all these Magic releases and our Chess strategies. Then after all that shuffling we play Commander, beginner's luck vs 30 years of experience!

Can we stop the scurvy horde from destroying our towers? In this playthrough of Castle Panic, we’ll name the red zone the “Red Dunes of Carchecka”, wash some goblins in dawn soap, and ponder the effectiveness of friendly barbarians!

This time we geek on Madame Web as a 00s period piece, new and old TV like Mr. and Mrs. Smith and Better Call Saul, new music like "Smile" and "Future Island" and "Usher", Ninja Turtles in Fortnite, "Whalefall" and it's lack of Pinnoccio, Marvel Snap strategy, and video game remasters like Final Fantasy, Mario and Donkey Kong, and Metroid Prime.

Join us on our spirited journey into the world of Distilling adult beverages and learn to say Cachaça. Distilled is a press-your-luck euro-style game and a delight to play!

How can we play a game without geekin out on everything else first? This time we'll talk about Barbie Oscar snubs, excitement around Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown and it's legacy, rock legend Dave Grohl's "The Storyteller", Phil's latest Starfield adventure, the sweet sounds of Hazbin Hotel, the dark comedy of Resident Alien, the creepiness of True Detective Season 4, and the thrill of Keyforge: Grim Reminders.

This time we get excited about Starfield and Oscar-Bait movies. Phil catches up on Loki and Josh plays Alan Wake 2 with family. Then we get a little hyped for the upcoming Wyrmspan!

Spoiler alert: there's no Cartographers episode.

Josh and Phil work together to save the citizens of Haven Town from the zombie horde in "Shadowrift."

Join Josh and Phil as Alontrius and Sarah Slayer as they face the Mudlands in a search for treasure and glory!
