“When you are walking down the sidewalk, and you see a person in a wheelchair coming down the same sidewalk toward you,  what should you say?” Rylee said, “Just smile and say hi!” People with disabilities don’t want to be treated differently according to Mary Gray Perdue, the Area Director with Joni and Friends New Mexico. Rylee Norman is the Ministry Operations Coordinator.  The ministry brings practical help and Gospel hope to people with disabilities around the world. The summer of 2025 will be a busy one for Joni and Friends New Mexico, and they have an urgent need for volunteers to help with Family Camp June 24-28, a Warrior Getaway July 1-5, and a Marriage Getaway September 12-13.

Magen David Adom is Israel’s emergency services system, saving all lives in Israel – Jew, Arab, Christian, Muslim, Druze, Bedouin. Their 3,500 staff and 34,000 volunteers represent all in Israel too. Yasmeen Mazzawi, an Arab Christian who visited Auschwitz as a teen to understand her Jewish neighbors and colleagues, is one example. After her full-time job as a business analyst, she volunteers 16 hours a week as a paramedic in Nazareth. She has rushed into the danger of northern communities hit by Hezbollah rocket shells.
