Over the last several years, the Me Too Movement has generated a cultural conversation about relationships and abuse. Among other things, it has exposed the ways in which power can be abused. By contrast, the Bible presents a different vision of power; it envisions power being used in service of others. Because Jesus inverts popular conceptions of power, we will see that the church community is to be a place that seeks to restore those who are abused, and a place that protects those who are powerless.
