Halloween is here once again so needless to say we choose to look at somthing suitably spooky while giving Elwood a chance to cross this off his Cinema Shame list in an episode which you should be warned is heavy on spoilers.

Inspired by a Joseon Dynasty era folktale entitled Janghwa Hongryeon jeon which has over the years been adapted several times already as here director Kim Jee-Woon crafts a deceptive tale with the teenage girl, Su-mi (Im Soo-jung) returning home after recently being commited to a mental asylum. Now resuming her protective relationship with her younger sister Su-yeon (Moon Geun-young) while dealing with thier cruel stepmother, Eun-joo (Yum Jung-ah) as darker family secrets soon begin to surface. 

We not only look at the career of director Kim Jee-Woon aswell as looking at the asian horror films we've been watching in the lead up to Halloween.
