A/C Units Available to Dutchess Seniors

Listen Later

Must be at least 65 and meet income criteria
With funding from the state's Cooling Assistance Program depleted, Dutchess County has allocated $35,000 to provide window air-conditioning units to eligible residents.
The program is available to residents who are 65 years or older or have a medical condition worsened by heat; don't already have an air conditioner in their home; and meet income eligibility requirements (for example, about $40,000 annually or less per month for a household with one person, or about $52,000 for a household with two people).
For information, contact the Office for the Aging at 845-486-2555 or dub.sh/dutchess-aging. The program is being coordinated by the Office for the Aging and the Department of Community and Family Services and implemented by the Community Action Partnership for Dutchess County.
