Transitioning from academia to industry is not something that happens overnight. The many stories I have heard, they have spent years in academia before moving to industry. As always everyone’s story is different. For instance, I am someone who moved to the other side before finishing my PhD. I am the kind of person who loves to have a backup plan for a backup plan. I knew that academia is not for me by the second year, so I started preparing for the move since then.
