We all have an inner nerd. From Disney to Star Wars to sports to gaming to theater to dating reality shows, come join the fun as we let our inner nerds out for this fun filled hour. This will be a weekly call and each week will have a different theme. Let your geekiness shine. Special guest night: puppeteer Grant Baciocco ( http://mrgrant.com/ ) has worked on The Happytime Murders, Toiley T. Paper, and Mystery Science Theater 3000 as Crow T. Robot. Come ask questions about the ins and outs of puppeting.

The focus will be on “How can we Expand our recruiting efforts to minority communities?” The ACB Multicultural Affairs Committee will present “Tips for Recruiting People of Color”.

Let’s take a deeper dive into both phone and computer apps we are using. We will have longer demonstrations of apps from There's an App for that, and any other apps we finds useful are fair game. While different apps may be brought by the facilitator, we invite attendees to come with their favorite apps as well.

Members of the ACB Environmental Access and Transportation Committees will present timely information on transit, paratransit and navigating life as pedestrians who are blind and visually impaired. Come ready to learn, to share your own experiences and to ask your transportation and environmental access questions. This month: Hosts Koni Sims, Lyle Sine, and Patrick Sheehan will talk with participants about: the CARES Act, what happens when it runs out of money? Life in rural areas; more pedestrian access and new configurations to virtual bus stops. We'll also discuss the current paratransit paradigm and what are the challenges post COVID? We look forward to hearing from you and exploring next steps to take in our transit journey to keep ourselves safe, independent and on the move post COVID.

This week, we learn how to use object navigation with NVDA. Similar to using the cursors with a screen reader like Jaws, Object nav allows you to get information about what's on the screen when tabbing and shift tabbing are not possible.
