Sales is typically thought of as a masculine discipline, and yet, we all need to know how to sell.  Whether that's selling your idea to a group, selling your candidacy for a new job or promotion, or selling a new idea to a board of directors, there are principles that the best sales professionals use that can be adapted with success by those in non-sales roles.  In this session, you will learn the basics of building a relationship to sell, using data to uncover rather than hard sell, and how to present with power in your sales situation.

Marianna Stoneburner MSN, RN, NEA-BC, chief nursing officer and vice president of patient care services for UPMC Horizon and UPMC Jameson, joined UPMC in 1993 and has 27 years of progressive nursing leadership experience in academic, community and rural acute care organizations. She serves as the nurse executive with the authority and responsibility for establishing standards of nursing practice and overseeing functions including driving, supporting and modeling a caring service-oriented professional culture focused on employee engagement, quality, patient safety, service excellence, fiscal responsibility and the overall patient experience.
