We're encouraged every day to be nice people. It's what our kids learn in school. It's how we're supposed to be with our co-workers. Offending or hurting people is wrong, and so we're told that being nice is how we should be. But what if being nice isn't the best?

As Americans, we love our freedom. We have the freedom to basically do what we want, when we want, however we want. But there's a dark side to that freedom that we rarely think about. Maybe the freedom we pursue doesn't actually bring about the freedom we want?
