Unpacking the Difference-Mastermind Groups
Aaron received an email asking what is the difference between an accountability group and a mastermind group. He has been involved in both for over 2 decades. His simple definition of the difference is that a mastermind group includes like-minded people that come together that help encourage, provide resources support and provide accountability to the goals you have set.
"In mastermind groups, theoretically you will only go so far; there is only so much personal information you will share. Quite honestly there is a limit." - Aaron Walker
Unpacking the Difference-Accountability Groups
An accountability group is another level. This is a smaller group that you want to share with intimately and they ask pointed questions. The topics range from your personal life at home and with your family and your faith to your business. The questions come every week, so it is very difficult to lie which makes you think during the moment.
"I suggest that your accountability group is all men or all women." - Aaron Walker
Success and Significance
Danny talks about his experience with accountability groups and mastermind groups. Both he has experienced are spiritual in nature and what they do in Iron Sharpens Iron. In the accountability group pain points came up and he gave his group permission and asked them to ask the hard questions about his life and marriage. In the mastermind group it is organized by topics. How do men lead a life of success and significance.
