Achievement Hunting 101

This Week's Panel - Big Ell, Exe the Hero, Ahayzo, FuFuCuddilyPoof

This Week's Question - While many gamers consider remakes, remasters, or definitive editions to be nothing more than a cash grab, there are several that buck that trend and offer a genuinely superior product. What remake, remaster, definitive edition, etc. do you consider to be the best delivering or most worthwhile?

ElroyOMJ talks with TripleTriad777 about his time at Achievement Fest 2022.

Wakapeil takes a look at the game Rumbleverse.

This Week's Panel - KooshMoose, kT Echo, rawkerdude

This Week's Question - Now that summer's almost over, we'd like to know if you cheevo hunt/game while on vacation? If so, what do you do and how does it differ from your regular gaming?

It's been a real week of panelist musical chairs. Koosh is rushing to complete the multiplayer in several games. kT Echo makes his podcast debut and talks about Yakuza and the Outriders DLC. Rawkerdude bats cleanup and sells us on Arcade Paradise which is most definitely not a game about laundry.

This Week's Panel - Big Ell, KooshMoose, Matrarch, FuFuCuddilyPoof

This Week's Question - If the panelists went to Achievement Fest, which games would they want to play there?

It’s our August live show!

Game Pass new release As Dusk Falls is the primary target here! Three of our panelists played it and up to eight people at once can enjoy it! Nate told about Driver: San Francisco, as the servers are going down soon!

Also, we discussed Achievement Fest, as many of our community members went there!

This Week's Question - Those who interact with kids, do you feel like because you play lots of video games, you are still "cool"? Or has the streaming, F2P/P2W, disposable mobile gaming of today make those kids view you as some relic of the past?

Unlikely Game Pass hit Power Wash Simulator gets most of the love (or hate?) this week.  Nate played a fantastic children's game and M went for a swim with a puzzle game. Most importantly, we discussed kitchen cleaning equipment in great detail.

The Master Raters are back, bringing you the games they and the community have rated as 1.5s, featuring broken dreams and artful escapes. (1:25:51)

This Week's Panel - Big Ell, KooshMoose, Matrarch, FuFuCuddilyPoof

This Week's Question - Assuming there was no lag or other issues to make games less than completely playable, how would you feel about an all streaming future? Would you embrace it or would you prefer consoles stick around?

Really, we hate lag but would otherwise embrace the cloud.

The contest that shall not be named goes nameless... until now.  Two battle worn contestants explain what it is for those who have never made the poor decision to compete in it, then briefly give it praise, only to close out by spending an uncomfortable amount of time grousing about it.  It's frontline news from the Gtasctt with ElroyOMJ and Inigo Montoya.

This Week's Question -  What's your game of the year so far?

First Tuesday of the month means Live Show. Today we've secretly switched things up on the panel - let's see if anyone notices. FuFu plays a game that is out of this world. rawkerdude continues simulating real life chores. Kooshmoose talks about a movie tie-in game that is up, up, and away from being current... or what most people would agree is good.

This Week's Question - As your gaming time declines from getting older and/or life getting busier, have your gaming goals or priorities changed in any way? If yes, how so? And if not, how have you managed to keep focus with the reduced gaming time? - Exe The Hero

Exe the Hero joined the panel this week. What has he been up to? He LOVES party chat and  multiplayer games now! (doubt). Two Halo games were discussed! Does anyone like Halo? Nate loves it! (doubt). Nate played a game where you play as a young girl, and he did it all by himself! (doubt). Ell also played a game all by himself and didn't get carried! (doubt.) Michelle played Fall Guys and liked it a lot! (this one's true).

This Week's Question - What is your favorite genre and what is the best & worst game you've played from that genre? - Freamwhole

Cowabunga! Ell and Elroy are excited about TMNT! We discuss the new 6 player Game Pass TMNT game! Is it as good as we hoped? Elroy also gets a kick out of one of the Dead Island games. They aren't all the same. He promises. Michelle, on her Xbox Series X, played a backwards compatible Xbox 360 game, which was in turn a port of an original Xbox, Gamecube, and PS2 game. Confused yet? Nate played a fun game leaving Game Pass at the end of June! Hurry! You still have some time!
