Without going too philosophical, I wanted to do a podcast that took me years to learn. We as nonprofits have done a disservice to our predecessors. It wasn't until I found the 'business' element of running my organization, I then learned what was missing within my infrastructure.

Nonprofits need to be focused on reaching results, but we have to make it difficult. Results are called a different name. Those results are also called 'measureable outcomes.' To adopt the "measurable outcome" language versus using results was not beneficial to the sustainability of organizations.
