Achieving what I didn't think was possible

Growing up on the Gold Coast, you would think life would be a beach. It wasn't. 

The addiction and mental health struggles of my parents caused havoc on my childhood. This came to a head at age 13 when I was dropped off for a sleepover and never picked up.
