Last game of the year and last of the decade too, this was a very strong team performance by a Lions side that is looking increasingly confident under Gary Rowett's management.

Who knows where this will finish in 2020, but yesterday's excellent win over 3rd placed Brentford shows that Millwall have the potential for another madcap tilt at the play-off positions come May.

It'll be a blue, blue Christmas just thinking about the lost point yesterday at The Den yesterday. Sadly despite all his evident skill and talent, a poor decision Jed Wallace in the dying seconds of a very frustrating game allowing Barnsley to steal a win and sending children home questioning whether Santa Claus is real in SE16.

As any true Lions fan knows though, a pre-Christmas fixture versus the bottom of the table side generally has only one outcome ...
