Today, we spoke with April McMurtrey, a certified reading and dyslexia specialist and developer of The Learn Reading Program. We discussed how her program is a multisensory approach to reading. We discussed specific methods for teaching reading, including learning words with exact vowel placement at certain times to encourage children to feel confident in their reading.
