Et: Kalle istus Tallinnas oma korteris arvuti ees, väljas sadas vaikselt lund ning tuba täitis pehme valgus.
En: Kalle was sitting in his apartment in Tallinn in front of the computer, while softly falling snow covered the outside, and the room was filled with gentle light.

Et: Tema süda hakkas kiirendama, kui ta vajutas "helista" nupule.
En: His heart began to race as he pressed the "call" button.

Et: Ekraanile ilmus Anu, kes istus rõdul Sydneys.
En: Anu appeared on the screen, sitting on a balcony in Sydney.

En: "I wouldn't mind if we could spend more time together, even if it's short-term," Kalle emphasized.

Et: "Hmm," sõnas Anu. "Probleem on selles, et ma pole kindel, millal ma tagasi Eestisse tulen. Siin on nii palju võimalusi, et mu karjäär liikuma panna."
En: "Hmm," said Anu. "The problem is, I'm not sure when I'll be coming back to Estonia. There are so many opportunities here for me to advance my career."

Et: Kalle südames hakkas kerima väikene masenduse varjund.
En: A tinge of melancholy began to weave into Kalle's heart.
