The Cavaliers and Knicks have not met since November 1st, so as they prepare to finally do battle again, there is plenty on the line. Sure, New York has dealt with crazy injuries and they have had to remake not only their depth chart, but their roster as well.

But, they have continued to fight their tails off. As the Cavs come in off a win over Detroit, they have been perhaps the best team in the league over these past couple of months. As they continue to showcase their depth and resiliency, there is another chance for Cleveland to make a statement here.

A preview of the battle ahead, along with the perception of fanbases from the other side between these two teams that just do not seem to like each other all that much.

From Rising Stars on Friday night, to watching the best shooters in the world duking it out on Saturday, there was plenty to like. Stephen Curry vs. Sabrina Ionescu was exactly as advertised.

But the dunk contest is clearly in need of some tweaks. There were 397 points scored in the All-Star Game, and it was really never close or competitive. And with that in mind, changes need to be on the horizon.

You cannot ask 40-year-old LeBron James to be the hero the game is not asking for next season. But have no fear. A new idea is here.

A passionate discourse needs to follow this concept. Because it is certainly a chance to enhance the current model.

While the Cleveland Cavaliers opted to stand pat at the 2024 trade deadline, there were moves all across the NBA. The Cavs knocked off the Grizzlies on Thursday night for their third win in four days. Nothing can stop them from eking out some of these incredibly tight games, as the cohesion only improves. 

With another W under their belt and the All-Star reserves now announced, some thoughts on the roster choices. 

Some wild stat lines have been put up in recent weeks. While not all Cavs related, they merit discussion.

Joel Embiid went from scoring 70 points to being out with a torn meniscus within the span of 12 days. Luka Doncic scored 73. KAT went from being on his way to a legendary night to getting benched down the stretch.
