We are back home and Across the Table following an AMAZING youth mission trip to San Juan, PR! In this episode, the word we repeatedly found ourselves saying is, “inexpressible,” because it feels almost impossible to encapsulate all the ways God showed up during our time abroad. Joining us to try to put words around the joy and transformation we experienced during our week of service and cultural immersion are three members of our Sr. High Mission Team: Maddie Plonk, Lindy Cannon and Mills Douglas. We are Across The Table this month with our great friend, grown-up church baby, and now devoted Youth Ministry Leadership Team member, Matthew Shealy, talking about living as Sabbath people. We are joined Across The Table by some old and new friends to Centenary's Youth Ministry. David & Kent Magee are public speakers and storytellers who first visited Centenary back in 2024 to share their message of student, family, and community well-being around topics of mental-health, addiction, and recovery. Our new friend, Mary Ivon Montgomery, came to Centenary for the first time this March to share her professional experience (as a therapist) and her own personal journey in relation to body-image and disordered eating. We all come to faith by 'looking over the shoulder of someone in front of us' (St Francis of Assisi).
