We tackle a couple of behemoths (in both page count and pop culture impact) as we discuss FOURTH WING and its sequel IRON FLAME by Rebecca Yarros! We talk character arcs, sassy dragons, Xaden and Violet's romantic evolution, what the future might hold for this ongoing series, and more! Stick around til the end to hear what we have in our tentative lineup for the next few episodes, and don't forget to rate and review us on iTunes and everywhere you get your podcasts. It really does help!

We are back again (so soon!) to discuss the film adaptation of one of our favorite books we've ever covered, Casey McQuiston's RED, WHITE & ROYAL BLUE, written and directed by Matthew Lopez for Amazon Studios! We talk casting, changes, adaptation choices, and so much more! Honestly, it was hard not to just sit here and gush, but we did our best to throw some critical analysis in there too.
Stick around til the end where we may or may not drop hints about what might be coming next, and don't forget to rate and review us on iTunes!
As always, a huge thanks to Djempirical for our fabulous theme music.

We are once again returning after an extended absence, and we are so excited to finally get to discuss GREYWAREN by Maggie Stiefvater! We talk multiple-series arcs, plots that run on vibes and vibes only, and Margaret making fools of us all. SPOILER WARNING: We talk pretty in-depth about all of the books in Maggie's connected RAVEN CYCLE and DREAMER books, so if you haven't finished both series and you wish to remain unspoiled, we recommend you wait on this one and come back when you're done.
As always, a big thanks to DJ Empirical for our amazing theme music.

THE GANG'S BACK, Y'ALL! After a VERY long hiatus, we are thrilled to be back with our Grishaverse pals Jessie and Aubrey to sit down and discuss everything SHADOW AND BONE Season 2 on Netflix! We talk new characters, our favorite (and least favorite) adaptive choices, plot convergences and that breakneak pacing, and everything in between. SPOILER WARNING: The same rules that applied to our coverage of the first season will apply here as well; we decided that the only way we can properly analyze how the show fits into the entire Grishaverse was to include the entire written Grishaverse into our analysis - this includes everything from the SHADOW AND BONE trilogy, the SIX OF CROWS duology, the KING OF SCARS duology, and of course the first season of the Netflix show. That said, we don't get too spoilery, but if you want to remain completely unspoiled on everything from the books we recommend that you come back and listen when you're done reading.
As always, thanks to Martha Riley for our art and Djempirical for our music.

Special guest and benevolant book club overlord, Aubrey, returns to help us wrap up the THRONE OF GLASS series with KINGDOM OF ASH by Sarah J Maas! We talk final arcs, ships, trauma, torture, some more trauma, character deaths, even more trauma, and so much more! I hope y'all like crying, because we do a whole lot of it in this episode.
We've included spoiler sections for all of our THRONE OF GLASS episodes so far, and even though this is the last book in the series, this episode is no exception. If you've read all the books in the expanded Maas universe (ACOTAR and Crescent City), stick around for a spoiler section that will dive into possible connections and implications between those books and these! Don't worry, if you need to bail we'll give you plenty of warning before we wade into spoiler territory.
Stick around til the end where we announce what we have planned for the future, and don't forget to rate and review us on iTunes!
As always, thanks to Martha Riley for our art and Djempirical for our music. And a big thanks to Aubrey for joining us!

Returning guest and noted Chaol stan Jessie is back to discuss all things Chaol, I mean TOWER OF DAWN by Sarah J Maas! We talk disability representation, big character arcs, endgame setup, and the absolute balls of steel it took for Ms Sarah J Maas to release a Chaol-focused book in a completely different setting with completely different supporting characters after the game-changing ending of EMPIRE OF STORMS.
While we are talking about this book spoiler-free, please note that we will be including a spoiler section at the end to discuss how the events of this book fit into the rest of the ToG series, so if you're reading along for the first time, this is where you want to leave us until you finish the series. We'll give you plenty of warning before we wade into spoiler territory.
