Matthew 4:6-7 AMP
And he said
[mockingly] to Him, "If You are the Son of God, throw Yourself down; for
it is written, 'HE WILL COMMAND HIS ANGELS CONCERNING YOU [to serve, care for,
protect and watch over You]'; and 'THEY WILL LIFT YOU UP ON their HANDS, SO
THAT YOU WILL NOT STRIKE YOUR FOOT AGAINST A STONE.'" [7] Jesus said to
him, "On the other hand, it is written and forever remains written, 'YOU
SHALL NOT TEST THE LORD YOUR GOD.'"
Many
act on the word based on the writings.
2 Corinthians 3:6

Who also hath made
us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit:
for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.
If the writings were
enough Jesus Christ wouldn't have sent the Holy Spirit to teach us.
John 14:26 AMP
But the Helper
(Comforter, Advocate, Intercessor-Counselor, Strengthener, Standby), the Holy
Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name [in My place, to represent Me and
act on My behalf], He will teach you all things. And He will help you remember
everything that I have told you.
Many of us have gone
to read the word and act it but it does not produce, we because of that leave
Christ.
Before embarking on
reading the word of God (the bible) ensure you have receive the Holy Spirit
into your life.
I will advise that
we spent some time to pray before opening the word or listening to the word.
After doing this, pray again.
Every sincere and
Spirit filled prayer must be rich in the word of God.
PRAYER: JESUS CHRIST
I BELIEVE IN MY HEART AND I CONFESS WITH MY MOUTH THAT YOU ARE MY SAVIOUR AND
KING, COME INTO MY LIFE TODAY, BE MY LORD AND SAVIOUR, IN JESUS NAME I PRAY,
AMEN!
