How do we live free and stay free as Christians?

This is part of a series from the book of Galatians looking at the freedom which Paul teaches that we can have in Christ. The key verse of Galatians is: "So Christ has truly set us free. Now make sure that you stay free, and don't get tied up again in slavery to the law" (Glalatians 5:1).

Gillian talks about two wrong perceptions of Freedom in Christ. Firstly to try and earn the favour of God. To be good enough, to try harder to somehow earn extra Brownie points. Secondly, to consider that our achievements make us in some way superior to others in the body of Christ.

Total freedom comes from total surrender.

Our freedom in Christ, is not the result of meeting any religious requirements, but a personal encounter with Jesus, a revelation of who Jesus is and what it means to be a follower of Jesus.

True worship is more internal than external.
