Ernest Holmes taught that we suffer on our road to self-discovery not because it is God-ordained, but because of our divine individuality. It is this individuality that allows us to create our own experience through our power of choice, self-expression and free will. We have the ability to do, say, and think as we wish, even when it appears to limit us. Join Rev. Sherry F. McCreary as we explore the conscious choices we can make in exercising our free will so that we can to live as empowered beings of Love, Light, Peace and Freedom.
There is no time like the present to step up your spiritual practice, and bring your gifts and talents into the world with more heart and soul than ever, letting love, compassion, and good humor lead the way. As our song lyrics suggest, "Take heart, wake up in the middle of a dream, and do the right thing." That is what we will do today!
You are empowered, confident, safe and more than enough. But, all too often, you simply forget and disconnect from your true identity. Remember, you were not created out of unworthiness, lack or fear. You may have been born into dysfunction, but you were created out of GREATNESS! You've been longing to return home to your authentic self. In today's moving and empowering talk, Ester will help get you home where you belong!
The original Commandments are powerful and well-known, but in many ways lack context in today's world. Most of the commandment are things we should NOT do, which is a challenge when we are focused on the Science of Mind perspective of getting to "Yes." Rev. Bill provides an update on the Commandments as powerful intentions we can set, with a clear reminder that we are sacred beings creating joy-filled, holy lives.
Ernest Holmes started sharing his philosophy in what is known as "living room sessions." These lively discussions went on for many years forming and engaging others and starting a movement. Please join a panel of Spiritual Life Coaches as they engage in personal conversation of how the Science of Mind principles apply to their lives and yours. In this lively living room discussion, you will get a chance to craft your own manifesto for the upcoming year and leave moved, touched and inspired about what it means to live a divinely creative life.
This final Sunday of the year (and Rev. Michele's final Sunday before her two-month sabbatical), we will stand on the second four of the "Eight Pillars of Joy" according to His Holiness the Dalai Lama and Archbishop Desmond Tutu in "The Book of Joy." When we live from all Eight Pillars, we truly will BE and will BRING Joy to the World!
According to His Holiness and the Archbishop, there are Eight Pillars of Joy. This morning, we will stand on four of them and behold joy in a new light.
Today, we burst with joy as we celebrate those who have successfully completed coursework at Creative Living University during 2017. If you are one of the 138 students who graduated from a CLU class this year, be sure to be here today to receive your Certificate of Completion and a lot of love! And if you are not a CLU graduate, be sure to be with us anyway. There will be lots to burst with joy over during this service. Then, everyone, please join us at 12:45 pm to be a part of the cap and gown graduation ceremony of our 4 "Professional Practitioner Studies" graduates, Diana Darrell, Fran Peck, Jeannie Soverns and Monica Zickus. A cake and sparkling cider reception will follow the graduation.
The Dalai Lama once said, "One great question underlies our existence. What is the purpose of life? After much consideration, I believe the purpose of life is…" Are you interested in finding out the rest of that statement and how to fulfill life's purpose? If so, be sure to be with us this beautiful Sunday morning. The answers will cause you to jump for joy.
