After a hugely successful first season that drew the attention of loc professionals, fans, and those curious about the philosophy, the Toronto based hosts, Karen Wallington and Brian J Phillips of LOC TALK are at it again.
Whether you call them locs, dreds, dreadlocks, Jatas, Rasta, Dada or Congo, LOC TALK is dedicated to elevating and educating every aspect of the loc world. For each guest there is a remarkable connection to the hairstyle whether it’s spiritual, practical, political or fashionable, locs are often referred to as a movement or a journey for the simple reason that as our locs grow and evolve, so do we. Our hosts Karen and Brian welcome industry experts and loc enthusiasts alike to speak openly about locs — a topic that is otherwise filled with misconception and misinformation. Our mission is to create a connection between the audience and our guests through dialogue about personal experiences, current events and philosophy as it relates to locs and the lifestyle thereby creating awareness and vanquishing stigmas associated with locs.
