Actor of stage and screen Tyler Lansing Weaks joins us to talk about his role in the Tony Award-winning revival of “Take Me Out”, currently on Broadway. The production was meant to premiere in March 2020, but due to the pandemic, they were forced to go on an indefinite hiatus, eventually returning in 2022, and going on to win two Tony Awards.
Tyler shares how he stayed busy during the pandemic, and what it felt like to finally return to the role in 2022, the challenges he overcame and lessons learned while playing the vulnerable yet rather hilarious character Jason Chenier, and also advises that young actors need to have interests and an identity disconnected from acting, saying “it’s really easy to lose yourself. You [can] feel you don’t exist outside of the roles you’re playing.”
Take Me Out is in performances until February 5th at the Schoenfeld Theatre in New York City.

Stage and screen actor Jake Horowitz, seen most recently in Luca Guadagnino’s latest film “Bones and All”, joins to talk about working with his long-time friend and co-star Timothee Chalamet and the sense of security he felt working with him during “physically vulnerable” scenes in the film.
Jake also shares how through his parents' work, he grew an affinity for actors before the art of acting and how he has dealt with nerves and learned to accept and even embrace them as part of the process. “If you’re nervous it’s because you’re really giving something away. Damn right you feel nervous, it’s important to you!”
