Acts chapter 16 recounts key moments from Paul’s second missionary journey. Paul and Silas are guided by the Holy Spirit to Macedonia after Paul’s “Macedonian vision,” marking the gospel’s movement into Europe. God intervenes with an earthquake that opens the prison doors, leading to the conversion of the Philippian jailer and his household. The chapter ends with Paul asserting his rights as a Roman citizen, prompting the city officials to release them and request their departure.
