The New Testament book of Acts details the history of the spread of the gospel by the Holy Spirit's power. The movement Jesus began should have dissolved, but against all (earthly) odds, the Holy Spirit miraculously spread. Despite obstacles, conflicts and persecution, the message of salvation in Jesus Christ continued to expand from Jerusalem to Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.
