When word gets out that he's looking to cash out of the business, it soon triggers an array of plots and schemes -- including bribery and blackmail -- from shady characters who want to steal his domain.

Rick Blaine (Humphrey Bogart), who owns a nightclub in Casablanca, discovers his old flame Ilsa (Ingrid Bergman) is in town with her husband, Victor Laszlo (Paul Henreid). Laszlo is a famed rebel, and with Germans on his tail, Ilsa knows Rick can help them get out of the country.

Of all the podcasts in all the libertarian sphere in all the world, he walks into ours. Our guest is Pete Quinones AKA Mance Rayder and this is a continuation of a beautiful friendship.

We hot things up around here with Mike C. as we review another Michael Mann film, "Heat". Appropriate for our first movie of the summer. Life is short. Whatever time you get is luck.

Master criminal Neil McCauley (Robert De Niro) is trying to control the rogue actions of one of his men, while also planning one last big heist before retiring. Meanwhile, Lieutenant Hanna (Al Pacino) attempts to track down McCauley as he deals with the chaos in his own life, including the infidelity of his wife (Diane Venora) and the mental health of his stepdaughter (Natalie Portman). McCauley and Hanna discover a mutual respect, even as they try to thwart each other's plans.

Instead of Kansas, the ship carrying baby Superman lands in the Ukraine. Superman is introduced to the world during the 1950s Cold War as a Soviet asset, causing panic in the United States.

We will be giving our powers to the state and sacrifice for the greater good. As Supe says in the movie, "we can accomplish anything as long as we stay united by our ideals."

In New York City in 1987, a handsome, young urban professional, Patrick Bateman (Christian Bale), lives a second life as a gruesome serial killer by night. The cast is filled by the detective (Willem Dafoe), the fiance (Reese Witherspoon), the mistress (Samantha Mathis), the coworker (Jared Leto), and the secretary (Chloë Sevigny). This is a biting, wry comedy examining the elements that make a man a monster.

We are going to review this movie with extreme prejudice. When this came up as an idea back in February, I didn't mean Apocalypse Right Now. Also, as some of the best centrally-planned plans almost always fall through, so do the occasional individual plans. But fear not, we have a solid Plan B for a guest who has been on with us multiple times and will be sure to delight.

We descend into a Rawlsian nightmare in our show on The Platform tonight. In the lockdowns, many people may have started on some of the higher floors, but some started lower - the longer this goes on, with the lack of production and the massive supply chain disruptions, the lower we will all get.

In the future, prisoners housed in vertical cells watch as inmates in the upper cells are fed while those below starve.
