Mickey Pearson is an American expatriate who became rich by building a highly profitable marijuana empire in London. When word gets out that he's looking to cash out of the business, it soon triggers an array of plots and schemes -- including bribery and blackmail -- from shady characters who want to steal his domain.

This will be a fun discussion that is a bit of a crossover theme with our guest.

We review the Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman classic, “Casablanca” before it gets deplatformed, because if that happens before doing this one, we’ll regret it. Maybe not today. Maybe not tomorrow, but soon and for the rest of our lives.

Rick Blaine (Humphrey Bogart), who owns a nightclub in Casablanca, discovers his old flame Ilsa (Ingrid Bergman) is in town with her husband, Victor Laszlo (Paul Henreid). Laszlo is a famed rebel, and with Germans on his tail, Ilsa knows Rick can help them get out of the country.

Of all the podcasts in all the libertarian sphere in all the world, he walks into ours. Our guest is Pete Quinones AKA Mance Rayder and this is a continuation of a beautiful friendship.

Pete has done over 440 episodes of the Free Man Beyond the Wall Podcast and was instrumental in bringing about the new, and very timely documentary, "The Monopoly on Violence" which introduces the state to people in what will be a new way for most, similar to our mission here on this show.

We celebrate what remaining independence we still have as we review "The Patriot" starring Mel Gibson with Snobby Bobby of the Not for Everyone Podcast (another movie review show!). Cross-over! Fireworks! BBQ and Freedom!

A widowed farmer, with a brave but brutal military past, decides not to join up when the British arrive in 1776. However, when his son enlists and is later captured by the enemy, the former soldier must abandon his new-found pacifist principles in order to rescue his oldest child, and forms a regiment of Carolina patriots, whose guerrilla tactics prove pivotal to the US war effort.

Give us liberty or give us mandates which we will blindly follow...apparently true for 99% of the people who will be celebrating their “independence” this July 4th.

We hot things up around here with Mike C. as we review another Michael Mann film, "Heat". Appropriate for our first movie of the summer. Life is short. Whatever time you get is luck.

Master criminal Neil McCauley (Robert De Niro) is trying to control the rogue actions of one of his men, while also planning one last big heist before retiring. Meanwhile, Lieutenant Hanna (Al Pacino) attempts to track down McCauley as he deals with the chaos in his own life, including the infidelity of his wife (Diane Venora) and the mental health of his stepdaughter (Natalie Portman). McCauley and Hanna discover a mutual respect, even as they try to thwart each other's plans.

We flip the script with Shaheen to an alternative world where the ship carrying baby Superman lands in the Ukraine in “Superman: Red Son.”

Instead of Kansas, the ship carrying baby Superman lands in the Ukraine. Superman is introduced to the world during the 1950s Cold War as a Soviet asset, causing panic in the United States.

We will be giving our powers to the state and sacrifice for the greater good. As Supe says in the movie, "we can accomplish anything as long as we stay united by our ideals."

This movie is made for us as we have so many talking points to go over. Strap in, this could be a long ride.

Before we return a few videotapes, we discuss "American Psycho" a critique on consumerism and "capitalism" set on Wall Street back in the Reagan-era late 80's.

In New York City in 1987, a handsome, young urban professional, Patrick Bateman (Christian Bale), lives a second life as a gruesome serial killer by night. The cast is filled by the detective (Willem Dafoe), the fiance (Reese Witherspoon), the mistress (Samantha Mathis), the coworker (Jared Leto), and the secretary (Chloë Sevigny). This is a biting, wry comedy examining the elements that make a man a monster.

Patrick MacFarlane of Liberty Weekly returns to the show to talk about the cult-classic satirical horror that launched the career of one Christian Bale.

We are going to review this movie with extreme prejudice. When this came up as an idea back in February, I didn't mean Apocalypse Right Now. Also, as some of the best centrally-planned plans almost always fall through, so do the occasional individual plans. But fear not, we have a solid Plan B for a guest who has been on with us multiple times and will be sure to delight.

Jon Reed returns to the show to talk about the pains taken during the production of this masterpiece and we get into how that helps make it an even better film. We also discuss the ridiculous approach to the war and how Kurtz and Willard both saw the nature of the problem.

We descend into a Rawlsian nightmare in our show on The Platform tonight. In the lockdowns, many people may have started on some of the higher floors, but some started lower - the longer this goes on, with the lack of production and the massive supply chain disruptions, the lower we will all get.

In the future, prisoners housed in vertical cells watch as inmates in the upper cells are fed while those below starve.
