A.D. "Lumkile" Thomason is a filmmaker, teacher, activist, and author who has written, "Permission to Be Black: My Journey With Jay-Z and Jesus". He joins the show not just to promote the new book, but to discuss with Jeremy the aspects of western Christianity that came from anywhere but Jesus and the Bible. He also talks about his own personal story of finding his place in the church, and how God's mercy makes up time and time again for our shortcomings.
