Hola, amigos de #Geekzone. Hoy les traigo un nuevo capítulo de mi aventura por Tandem, A Tale of Shadows. En esta oportunidad tocó comenzar con un nuevo capítulo, el cual lleva por nombre La Cocina y es el tercero del juego. Durante esta media hora de juego logré superar los primeros cinco niveles que corresponden al capítulo y debo decir que, aunque muchas cosas me parecieron sencillas, otras fueron un real desafío. Al ser un juego de puzzles y plataformas, es esperado que vaya aumentando de dificultad a medida que avanzamos y es grato ver que Tandem cumple con esto.

Este tercer capítulo viene acompañado con una nueva dinámica, la cual implica el uso de unos extraños cubos rosas de algo que parece ser tofu. Estos pueden ser desplazados según lo necesitemos, además de que podemos manipular su tamaño haciéndolos que se coman los unos a los otros o colocándolos sobre unas rejillas. Esta fue una adición interesante, ya que permite jugar más con el entorno y con las sombras, las cuales son las que nos ayudan a crearle el camino a Fenton para que pueda avanzar.

Algo que disfruté mucho de este nuevo capítulo fue su diseño. La cocina está llena de comida gigante, bastante colorida y genial. Además de utensilios de cocina enormes, me recordó un poco a Alicia en el País de las Maravillas. El diseño de los cubos me pareció también interesante, algo perturbador, debido a que los vemos devorarse unos a otros, pero en general fueron una nueva adición al capítulo. La jugabilidad con ellos me costó un poco al principio, pero con el paso de los capítulos es fácil aprender su comportamiento y cómo podemos usarlos a nuestro favor.

Fueron unos cinco capítulos algo retadores, hubo uno en especial en el que me tardé demasiado, no por lo difícil que estaba, sino porque estaba siguiendo un camino equivocado, dando vueltas y complicándome la existencia, mientras que la respuesta al puzzle era sencilla y estaba prácticamente a la vista todo el tiempo (como la vida misma, jajaja). Algo que me está gustando de Tandem es su capacidad de envolverme y distraerme, bien sea por los puzzles o por lo desafiantes que pueden ser algunos de sus momentos de plataformer, ha sido todo un descubrimiento este juego.

Hello, #Geekzone friends. Today I bring you a new chapter of my adventure through Tandem, A Tale of Shadows. This time it was time to start with a new chapter, which is called The Kitchen and is the third of the game. During this half hour game I managed to overcome the first five levels that correspond to the chapter and I must say that, although I found many things easy, others were a real challenge. Being a puzzle and platform game, it is expected to increase in difficulty as you progress, and it is nice to see that Tandem delivers on this.

This third chapter comes with a new dynamic, which involves the use of strange pink cubes of something that appears to be tofu. These can be moved around as needed, plus we can manipulate their size by making them eat each other or placing them on grids. This was an interesting addition, as it allows us to play more with the environment and with the shadows, which are what help us create the path for Fenton to move forward.

One thing I really enjoyed about this new chapter was its design. The kitchen is filled with giant food, quite colorful and cool. Plus huge kitchen utensils, it reminded me a bit of Alicia in Wonderland. I found the design of the cubes fascinating as well, somewhat disturbing due to the fact that we see them devouring each other, but overall they were a new addition to the chapter. The gameplay with them was a bit difficult for me at first, but as the chapters go on, it's easy to learn their behavior and how we can use them to our advantage.

It was a somewhat challenging five chapters, there was one in particular that took me too long, not because of how difficult it was, but because I was following the wrong path, going in circles and complicating my existence, while the answer to the puzzle was simple and was practically in plain sight the whole time (like life itself, hahaha). One thing I'm liking about Tandem is its ability to engage and distract me, whether it's the puzzles or how challenging some of its platformer moments can be, it's been quite the discovery this game has been.

Hola, amigos de #Geekzone. Hoy les comparto la continuación de mi aventura por Tandem: A Tale of Shadows. Este es un juego de puzzles con toques de plataformas, en el cual tomamos el papel de una niña y de un oso de felpa viviente, los cuales intentan escapar de una mansión por demás extraña, mientras investigan la desaparición del hijo de un famoso mago. En esta oportunidad me tocó concluir el segundo capítulo llamado "Cuarto de Calderas" y debo decir que aunque en algunas partes lo sentí algo desafiante, fue bastante entretenido.

Estos últimos tres niveles fueron considerablemente más largos que los primeros cinco, además de incluir puzzles más elaborados, que requirieron sincronizar las realidades de ambos personajes y trabajar contrarreloj para lograr superar obstáculos. Hubo momentos en los que sinceramente me sentí perdida y simplemente intentaba caminar y mover cosas hasta dar con la solución para poder avanzar. Por suerte, siempre la encontraba, pero claro, después de dar unas cuentas vueltas y apretar unos cuantos botones.

A pesar de que estos tres niveles me gustaron bastante, me sentí algo decepcionada por el nivel final de este capítulo. Al comenzarlo nos muestran una cinemática de un pulpo gigante y honestamente, yo esperaba a que me diera algo de batalla. Sin embargo, el pulpo era solamente un estorbo en nuestro camino y en ningún momento representó una amenaza real. Los puzzles fueron bastante intuitivos y bastó con ponerles un poco de atención y coordinación para resolverlos fácilmente. Esperemos que en el siguiente capítulo las cosas se pongan más interesantes.

En general, este capítulo creo que lo disfruté un poco más que el anterior, el tener que coordinar el cambio entre las dos dimensiones y trabajar contrarreloj me pareció sumamente entretenido, aunque tuve que repetir las cosas varias veces hasta que salieran bien. Ojalá continúen subiendo la dificultad con el paso de los niveles, y que además añadan nuevas dinámicas que logren mantenerme interesada en él.

Hello, #Geekzone friends. Today I share with you the continuation of my adventure through Tandem: A Tale of Shadows. This is a puzzle game with touches of platforming, in which we take the role of a girl and a living teddy bear, who try to escape from a strange mansion, while investigating the disappearance of the son of a famous magician. This time it was my turn to finish the second chapter called "Boiler Room" and I must say that although in some parts it felt a bit challenging, it was quite entertaining.

These last three levels were considerably longer than the first five, as well as including more elaborate puzzles, which required synchronizing the realities of both characters and working against the clock to overcome obstacles. There were times when I honestly felt lost and just tried to walk around and move things around until I found the solution to move forward. Luckily, I always found it, but of course, after a few turns and pressing a few buttons.

Although I liked these three levels quite a bit, I was a bit disappointed by the final level of this chapter. At the beginning, we are shown a cinematic of a giant octopus and honestly, I was expecting to get a bit of a fight out of it. However, the octopus was just a hindrance in our way, and at no point did it pose any real threat. The puzzles were quite intuitive, and it was enough to pay a little attention and coordination to solve them easily. Hopefully, in the next chapter, things will get more interesting.

In general, this chapter I think I enjoyed it a little more than the previous one, having to coordinate the change between the two dimensions and working against the clock seemed extremely entertaining to me, although I had to repeat things several times until they came out right. Hopefully they will continue to increase the difficulty as the levels go by, and also add new dynamics to keep me interested in it.

En esta oportunidad nos encontramos en el interior de la Mansión Kane, específicamente en el sótano, donde nos enfrentamos a toda clase de peligros y nuevas mecánicas. Para aquellos que se perdieron el gameplay anterior, Tandem es un juego de puzzles con elementos de plataformas en el cual asumimos los roles de una niña y un oso de felpa viviente. Ambos intentan escapar de una misteriosa mansión mientras buscan descubrir la desaparición del hijo de un famoso mago.

En este segundo nivel, llamado "Cuarto de Calderas", la dificultad aumenta. Nos encontramos con charcos de lodo que dificultan nuestro avance, así como nuevas mecánicas que nos ayudarán a crear nuevas rutas de sombras para el progreso de Fenton a través de un sistema de tuberías y un líquido sospechoso al que solo puedo referirme como tinta. Esto me lleva al siguiente punto de dificultad: nuestros nuevos enemigos, unos pulpos (¿o calamares?) superdesarrollados con el instinto asesino de un tiburón. Estos no dudarán en atacarnos y matarnos con sus tentáculos si cometemos el error de acercarnos a ellos.

A pesar de lo fácil que pueda parecer el juego, es necesario prestar mucha atención a todo el entorno para lograr avanzar. Hubo un punto en el que simplemente no lograba ver qué debía hacer, y solo era necesario fijarme en una pequeña abertura en la pared por donde debía pasar el personaje. Todas estas cosas hacen que el avance se demore, y aunque mi intención era grabar todo el capítulo como la vez pasada, mi progreso fue tan lento que tuve que dejar "Las Calderas" a la mitad; de lo contrario, el video fácilmente habría sido de dos horas.

A pesar de las dificultades (culpa de mi falta de manos, no del juego), la he estado pasando muy bien con Tandem, ya que es justamente lo que me gusta: resolver puzzle tras puzzle, cada vez más complicados y elaborados. Algo que noté en estos niveles es que el rendimiento del juego comenzó a ser algo irregular. Tuve que bajar un poco más la calidad de los gráficos para lograr una buena fluidez. Así que, si tienen una computadora algo antigua como la mía, no les puedo asegurar que el juego vaya a funcionar perfectamente.

Hello, #geekzone friends. Today we continue the adventure in Tandem, A Tale of Shadows. This time we find ourselves inside Kane Manor, specifically in the basement, where we face all sorts of dangers and new mechanics. For those who missed the previous gameplay, Tandem is a puzzle game with platforming elements in which we assume the roles of a girl and a living teddy bear. Both try to escape from a mysterious mansion while seeking to discover the disappearance of the son of a famous magician.

In this second level, called "The Boilers", the difficulty increases. We encounter mud puddles that hinder our progress, as well as new mechanics that will help us create new shadow paths for Fenton's progress through a system of pipes and a suspicious liquid that I can only refer to as ink. This brings me to the next point of difficulty: our new enemies, overdeveloped octopuses (or squids?) with the killer instinct of a shark. These will not hesitate to attack and kill us with their tentacles if we make the mistake of approaching them.

Despite how easy the game may seem, you need to pay close attention to the entire environment to make progress. There was a point where I simply couldn't see what I was supposed to do, and all I had to do was look at a small opening in the wall where the character had to pass through. All these things make progress slow, and although my intention was to record the whole chapter like last time, my progress was so slow that I had to leave "Las Calderas" in the middle; otherwise, the video would have easily been two hours long.

Despite the difficulties (the fault of my lack of hands, not the game), I've been having a great time with Tandem, since that's exactly what I like: solving puzzle after puzzle, each time more complicated and elaborate. One thing I noticed in these levels is that the game's performance started to get a bit spotty. I had to lower the graphics quality a bit more to achieve a good fluidity. So, if you have an old computer like mine, I can't assure you that the game will run perfectly.

Hola, amigos de #Geekzone, hoy les traigo el primer capítulo de la serie de gameplays de Tandem, A Tale of Shadows. Este es un juego de puzzles y plataformas, en el que tomamos el papel de una niña llamada Emma, quien junto a un oso de peluche viviente, de nombre Fenton buscan resolver el misterio de la desaparición de un niño llamado Thomas Kane. Sin pensarlo, ambos terminan atrapados dentro de una siniestra mansión, en la cual tendrán que superar obstáculos, ayudándose mutuamente, con la esperanza de escapar y de descubrir el paradero del pequeño Thomas.

Lo primero que quiero mencionar sobre Tandem es el maravilloso diseño visual que tiene, está ambientado en la era victoriana, lo cual de por sí lo hace visualmente muy atractivo, pero además posee ligeros toques de estética steampunk que me parecieron fantásticos y que terminan de elevar su diseño. De hecho, este fue el primer punto que destacó para mí al momento de elegirlo. De igual manera llamó mi atención el hecho de que juguemos con un pequeño oso de peluche y una niñita, al principio pensé que sería un juego colorido y alegre, sin embargo, más temprano que tarde me di cuenta de que Tandem es todo menos un juego alegre.

En esta parte exploramos el capítulo llamado "Los Jardines" el cual está conformado por 11 niveles, cada uno más desafiante que el anterior. Como ya mencioné anteriormente, jugamos con Emma y con Fenton, debemos ir alternando entre los dos personajes según necesitemos avanzar en el nivel. Con Emma tenemos un plano cenital, ya que debemos jugar con la luz de nuestra lámpara y de las del lugar para crearle un camino de sombras a Fenton para que pueda avanzar. Por otra parte, tenemos a Fenton, con el cual tenemos una visión tradicional de plataformas con desplazamiento lateral, nos movemos en un plano diferente al de Emma y recurrimos a su ayuda para crear puentes y conexiones que nos servirán para llegar a los mecanismos y herramientas necesarias para continuar con el avance.

Los niveles iniciales fueron pan comido, sin embargo, poco a poco me di cuenta de que no todos serían sencillos y que esos lo fueron simplemente para mostrarnos como funciona el cambio de personaje y las mecánicas de cada uno. Al principio solamente debía evitar algunos obstáculos, pero avanzando en el juego encontramos unas enormes arañas vigilantes que en el momento en el que entramos en su campo de visión nos atrapan y nos matan. Esto, sumado a la creciente dificultad de los puzzles, hizo que mi avance fuera mucho más lento y que culminar este capítulo fuera verdaderamente desafiante, por lo que no puedo esperar a ver qué tan complicada se pone la cuestión en los capítulos posteriores.

Sin duda, mi impresión después de esta primera hora de juego es bastante buena, al principio pensé que sería un juego algo infantil, pero por suerte no fue así y poco a poco se fueron agregando elementos y dinámicas que hicieron de la jugabilidad algo entretenido y desafiante. Esperemos que continúe por este camino y que no se olviden de también desarrollar la historia. Hello #Geekzone friends, today I bring you the first chapter of the Tandem, A Tale of Shadows gameplay series. This is a puzzle-platformer game, in which we take the role of a girl named Emma, who together with a living teddy bear, named Fenton seek to solve the mystery of the disappearance of a boy named Thomas Kane. Without thinking about it, they both end up trapped inside a sinister mansion, in which they will have to overcome obstacles, helping each other, in the hope of escaping and discovering the whereabouts of little Thomas.

The first thing I want to mention about Tandem is the wonderful visual design it has, it is set in the Victorian era, which in itself makes it visually very attractive, but it also has slight touches of steampunk aesthetics that I found fantastic and that finish elevating its design. In fact, this was the first point that stood out for me when choosing it. Similarly, the fact that we play with a little teddy bear and a little girl caught my attention, at first I thought it would be a colorful and cheerful game, however, sooner rather than later I realized that Tandem is anything but a cheerful game.

In this part we explore the chapter called "The Gardens " which is made up of 11 levels, each one more challenging than the last. As I mentioned before, we play with Emma and Fenton, we must alternate between the two characters as we need to progress through the level. With Emma, we have a zenithal plane, since we must play with the light of our lamp and those of the place to create a path of shadows to Fenton so that he can advance. On the other hand, we have Fenton, with whom we have a traditional view of side-scrolling platforms, we move in a different plane than Emma, and we resort to his help to create bridges and connections that will serve us to reach the mechanisms and tools necessary to continue advancing.

The initial levels were a piece of cake, however, little by little I realized that not all of them would be easy and that those were simply to show us how the character change and the mechanics of each one works. At first, I only had to avoid a few obstacles, but as we progressed through the game we encountered some huge vigilant spiders that the moment we entered their field of vision they would trap and kill us. This, coupled with the increasing difficulty of the puzzles, made my progress much slower and culminating this chapter truly challenging, so I can't wait to see how complicated things get in the later chapters.

Undoubtedly, my impression after this first hour of gameplay is quite good, at first I thought it would be a somewhat childish game, but luckily it wasn't and little by little elements and dynamics were added that made the gameplay entertaining and challenging. Let's hope it continues on this path and that they don't forget to develop the story as well. Hola, amigos de #GeekZone. El día de hoy les comparto el último capítulo de mi aventura en Inside, en el cual, después de muchas sorpresas, finalmente logramos escapar de las instalaciones de la organización maligna. Comenzamos esta última etapa en una especie de sala de experimentos, semi-sumergida, en la cual vamos a reencontrarnos con nuestros fieles ayudantes: los zombis o "experimentos fallidos", quienes nos asistirán durante buena parte de esta parte, ayudándonos a saltar e incluso a abrir puertas. Debo decir que a pesar de que no es la primera vez en el juego que nos ayudan los zombis y de que me parece una mecánica interesante, siguen poniéndome los pelos de punta, ya que son sumamente tétricos.

Después de un rato de contar con su ayuda, finalmente los dejamos atrás y continuamos solos en una parte que me pareció muy extraña, donde había muchas personas a nuestro alrededor, pero que por alguna razón no se fijaban en nosotros, algo que agradezco, porque logramos avanzar sin mucho estrés y sin que nos mataran un millón de veces. Lamentablemente, el juego me tenía preparado un giro casi llegando al final, que me sorprendió por completo e hizo que nuestro escape fuera realmente agridulce.

Justo cuando estamos cerca de salir de aquel lugar, llegamos a un tanque en el cual se encuentra una gran masa amorfa de experimentos fallidos conectada a varios cascos de control mental de los que nos hemos encontrado durante todo nuestro escape. Al momento de intentar desconectarla, con la intención de que nos ayude como los otros zombis, terminamos siendo atrapados por una mano que sale de ella, aunque intentamos soltarnos, somos absorbidos y pasamos a formar parte de la horrible masa de carne y cuerpos. A pesar de este giro, nuestro escape no acaba y continuamos nuestro recorrido hacia la libertad como la "masa" amorfa en la que nos convertimos.

Después de nuestra transformación, la mecánica de movimiento es algo diferente, somos incapaces de saltar, pero ahora podemos estirarnos para acceder a lugares más elevados, además de poder arrojar objetos y destruir paredes y ventanales. Al principio me costó un poco acostumbrarme a esta nueva "forma", sin embargo, como en todo el juego, la jugabilidad es suficientemente intuitiva como para que lograra culminar mi escape sin muchos más contratiempos. Como se pueden imaginar el final me dejó impactada, yo sabía que no había forma de que aquello terminara bien para nuestro personaje, pero su destino fue demasiado cruel, aunque siguiendo la línea del juego es lógico que tuviera un final así.

En general, es un juego bastante bueno, con mecánicas interesantes y una historia que es construida por la imaginación del propio jugador, lo cual me pareció acertado e hizo que el juego tuviera una atmósfera aún más siniestra, o quizás eso es resultado de mi imaginación macabra. Sus puzzles me parecieron bastante sencillos y fluidos, bastaba con ponerle un poco de atención a las cosas para superarlos sin mucho problema. Si hacemos la inevitable comparación con Limbo, siento que le faltó mucha más dificultad a Inside, acá no hubo secuencias de saltos a contrarreloj, ni un millón de muertes para lograr superar un obstáculo, y aunque a muchos esto le pueda parecer una mejora, esos detalles de dificultad son los que me gustan en este tipo de juegos.

A pesar de esto, no puedo hacer otra cosa que recomendarlo, es un gran juego. Aunque si se animan a probarlo, háganlo antes de jugar Limbo, si no les pasará como a mí y se quedarán esperando un desafío que nunca llega, además de que los preparará para la locura que es Limbo. Hello, #GeekZone friends. Today I share with you the last chapter of my adventure in Inside, in which, after many surprises, we finally managed to escape from the facilities of the evil organization. We start this last stage in a kind of experiment room, semi-submerged, in which we are going to meet again with our faithful helpers: the zombies or "failed experiments", who will assist us during a good part of this part, helping us to jump and even to open doors. I must say that although it is not the first time in the game that zombies help us and I think it is an interesting mechanic, they still make my hair stand on end, as they are extremely creepy.

After a while of counting on their help, we finally left them behind and continued alone in a part that seemed very strange to me, where there were many people around us, but for some reason they didn't notice us, something I was thankful for, because we managed to advance without much stress and without getting killed a million times. Unfortunately, the game had a twist in store for me almost reaching the end, which completely surprised me and made our escape really bittersweet.

Just as we are close to getting out of that place, we arrive at a tank in which there is a large amorphous mass of failed experiments connected to several mind control helmets that we have encountered throughout our escape. At the moment we try to disconnect it, with the intention that it will help us like the other zombies, we end up being trapped by a hand that comes out of it, although we try to get free, we are absorbed and become part of the horrible mass of flesh and bodies. Despite this twist, our escape does not end, and we continue our journey to freedom as the amorphous "mass" we become.

After our transformation, the movement mechanics are somewhat different, we are unable to jump, but we can now stretch to access higher places, as well as being able to throw objects and destroy walls and windows. At first, it took me a little while to get used to this new "form", however, as in the entire game, the gameplay is intuitive enough for me to complete my escape without many more setbacks. As you can imagine the ending left me shocked, I knew that there was no way that it would end well for our character, but his fate was too cruel, although following the line of the game it is logical that he had such an ending.

Overall, it's a pretty good game, with interesting mechanics and a story that is built by the player's own imagination, which I thought was right and made the game have an even more sinister atmosphere, or maybe that's a result of my macabre imagination. Its puzzles seemed to me quite simple and fluid, it was enough to pay a little attention to things to overcome them without much trouble. If we make the inevitable comparison with Limbo, I feel that Inside lacked much more difficulty, here there were no jumping sequences against the clock, nor a million deaths to overcome an obstacle, and although to many this may seem an improvement, those details of difficulty are what I like in this type of games.

Despite this, I can't do anything but recommend it, it's a great game. Although if you dare to try it, do it before playing Limbo, otherwise it will happen to you like it did to me, and you will be left waiting for a challenge that never comes, besides it will prepare you for the madness that is Limbo. Hola, amigos de #GeekZone, el día de hoy les comparto un nuevo capítulo de mi aventura en Inside. En esta oportunidad nuestro escape se hizo algo estresante, comenzamos en un área donde debíamos coordinar nuestros movimientos a la precisión, ya que cada cierto tiempo ocurría una explosión que nos hacía volar en pedazos si no lográbamos llegar a un lugar donde pudiéramos cubrirnos. Fue un avance lento y con muchas muertes, debido a la exactitud que debía llevar cada movimiento, además de que muchas eran necesarias para descubrir cómo debíamos superar esa parte. Cuando por fin logramos escapar de las explosiones sónicas, el juego nos premia con una maravillosa exploración subacuática.

Como les comenté en el gameplay anterior, las partes en las que estamos bajo el agua me causan un gran terror, así que debo decir que en esta parte sufrí demasiado, sobre todo porque tuvimos nuevamente la visita de la niña de El Aro, quien nos persiguió durante casi toda nuestra travesía subacuática. En esta parte, inevitablemente, me tocó descubrir qué pasaba si nos alcanzaba y mis sospechas eran ciertas, si nos alcanza nos jala para que no podamos salir a la superficie y finalmente morimos ahogados. Así que pasamos un buen rato buscando la forma de escapar de ella, ya que por supuesto nada mucho más rápido que nosotros, por lo que debemos engañarla y encerrarla para que nos deje en paz durante un rato.

A pesar de nuestros esfuerzos por escapar de ella, llega un punto en el que pasa lo inevitable y la niña nos atrapa sin que podamos hacer nada al respecto, créanme, lo intenté, usé la vieja técnica de apretar todos los botones a ver si me podía salvar, pero no. Esto activa una cinemática en la que vemos a ambos niños sumergirse durante un buen rato, la niña malvada nos da una especie de luz y nos abandona a nuestra suerte, mientras nosotros seguimos cayendo cada vez más profundo, hasta que nos comienzan a mordisquear unos peces y milagrosamente despertamos.

Aparentemente, nos encontramos a salvo, con la novedad de que ahora podemos mantenernos bajo el agua durante mucho tiempo sin tener la necesidad de subir a la superficie a respirar, lo cual me hace pensar que, de alguna forma, la intención de la niña malvada era que lográramos hacer eso para ayudarnos a escapar. Esto es una simple suposición mía, quizás más adelante ella regrese para atormentarnos, aunque como ya no nos puede ahogar, supongo que ya no podrá matarnos.

Casi al final de esta parte del escape nos encontramos con escenas bastante tétricas, de personas colgando bajo el agua, algunas aparentemente muertas, otras realizaban alguno que otro movimiento, lo cual me puso los pelos de punta, sin duda algo siniestro pasa en ese lugar y si les soy sincera, no creo que tengamos un escape exitoso. Solamente espero que nos den algún tipo de información sobre el lugar del que estamos escapando, algo para entender por qué estamos ahí y a dónde nos dirigimos. Aunque honestamente, si no nos dan ninguna explicación, siento que no haría demasiada falta, solo me gustaría saciar mi curiosidad, jajaja.

En fin, si les interesan este tipo de juegos estilo plataforma, con puzzles y ambiente tenebroso, definitivamente se los recomiendo, es bastante divertido y en algunos momentos, desafiante. Hello #GeekZone friends, today I share with you a new chapter of my adventure in Inside. This time our escape became somewhat stressful, we started in an area where we had to coordinate our movements with precision, because every so often an explosion occurred that blew us to pieces if we failed to reach a place where we could cover ourselves. It was a slow progress and with many deaths, due to the accuracy that each movement had to take, besides that many were necessary to find out how we had to overcome that part. When we finally managed to escape the sonic blasts, the game rewards us with a wonderful underwater exploration.

As I told you in the previous gameplay, the parts where we are underwater caused me great terror, so I must say that in this part I suffered too much, especially because we had again the visit of the girl from The Ring, who chased us during almost all our underwater journey. In this part, inevitably, I had to find out what would happen if she reached us and my suspicions were right, if she reached us she would pull us so that we could not come to the surface, and finally we would die drowned. So we spend quite a while looking for a way to escape from her, since of course she swims much faster than we do, so we have to trick her and lock her up so she leaves us alone for a while.

Despite our efforts to escape from her, there comes a point where the inevitable happens and the girl traps us without us being able to do anything about it, believe me, I tried, I used the old technique of pressing all the buttons to see if I could save myself, but nope. This activates a cinematic in which we see both children submerge for quite a while, the evil girl gives us some kind of light and abandons us to our fate, while we keep falling deeper and deeper, until we start getting nibbled by some fish and miraculously wake up.

Apparently, we find ourselves safe, with the novelty that we can now stay underwater for a long time without needing to come up to the surface to breathe, which makes me think that somehow the evil girl's intention was for us to manage to do that to help us escape. This is just my guess, maybe later she will come back to haunt us, although since she can no longer drown us, I guess she will no longer be able to kill us.

Almost at the end of this part of the escape we found some pretty creepy scenes of people hanging underwater, some apparently dead, others were making some movements, which made my hair stand on end, no doubt something sinister happens in that place and if I'm honest, I don't think we will have a successful escape. I just hope they give us some kind of information about the place we are escaping from, something to understand why we are there and where we are going. Although honestly, if they don't give us any explanation, I feel like it wouldn't be too much of a necessity, I'd just like to satiate my curiosity, hahaha.

Anyway, if you are interested in this kind of platform style games, with puzzles and scary atmosphere, I definitely recommend it, it's quite fun and at times, challenging. The game is available for consoles and PC, I leave you the page of its developers so you can check the purchase options.

Hola, amigos de #geekzone. Hoy vamos a continuar con nuestra aventura de escape en Inside. En esta etapa del juego nos encontramos con algunas cosas nuevas bastante ingeniosas dentro de toda la sencillez que lo caracteriza. Comenzamos con una rápida mecánica de pulsar un botón y correr, tras la cual tuvimos que escapar de unos perros rabiosos que comenzaban a perseguirnos. Esta parte fue algo estresante, porque había que repetir una mecánica cuatro veces para poder escapar de los perros, la cual además debíamos hacer prácticamente perfecta para que no nos mataran los muy miserables.

Por suerte, después del estrés con los perros, vino una etapa de "calma" en la que estuvimos solos durante un buen rato, abriéndonos camino en un submarino por las profundidades de una sección del pueblo/laboratorio que se encuentra sumergida en agua. La jugabilidad de esta parte fue realmente interesante e intuitiva, me gustó mucho el manejo del submarino y no fueron necesarias explicaciones para avanzar sin problemas.

A pesar de que aparentemente fue una parte tranquila, a decir verdad yo estaba asustada. La atmósfera de tensión que se crea bajo el agua hizo que me la pasara estresada y pensando que era cuestión de tiempo para que llegara una criatura horrenda y nos matara. Algo que pasó a medias, no nos mataron porque mi mismo estado de tensión hizo que estuviera pendiente de todo, sin embargo, sí nos comenzó a seguir "algo" que parecía como si la niña de la peluca "El Aro" se hubiera metido en el juego, una cosa horrible, jajaja.

Para mi alivio, la parte de la persecución de la niña de "El Aro" duró poco (esperemos que no vuelva) y lo que siguió fue uno de los "puzzles" más divertidos que me he encontrado en este juego. Llegamos a una parte en la que nos pedían que 20 personas se pararán sobre una plataforma para poder abrir una puerta. Para lograrlo tuvimos que tomar un casco de los que controlan a los experimentos fallidos y recorrer tres pisos diferentes recolectando zombis, haciendo no solo que nos sigan, sino que nos ayuden a resolver obstáculos para lograr juntar a los 19 zombis que necesitamos. Fue una parte un poco larga, pero fue realmente entretenida.

Sigo con la idea de que a pesar de ser un juego muy bueno, entretenido, con un diseño interesante y con puzzles muy intuitivo; tiene una dificultad sumamente inferior a Limbo, yo esperaba algo aún más desafiante, ya que ambos son del mismo estudio, sin embargo, resulta que este es lo contrario a lo que yo anticipaba, no me quejo porque lo estoy disfrutando bastante y no paso tan mal rato como con los puzzles descabellados de Limbo.

Hello, #geekzone friends. Today we're going to continue our escape adventure in Inside. At this stage of the game, we came across some pretty nifty new stuff within all the simplicity that characterizes it. We started with a quick button press and run mechanic, after which we had to escape from some rabid dogs that were starting to chase us. This part was a bit stressful, because we had to repeat a mechanic four times in order to escape from the dogs, which we also had to make practically perfect so we wouldn't get killed by the very miserable ones.

Luckily, after the stress with the dogs, came a "calm" stage in which we were alone for quite a while, making our way in a submarine through the depths of a section of the town/laboratory that is submerged in water. The gameplay of this part was fascinating and intuitive, I really liked the handling of the submarine and no explanations were necessary to advance smoothly.

Although it was apparently a quiet part, to tell the truth I was scared. The atmosphere of tension that is created underwater made me spend it stressed and thinking that it was a matter of time before a horrendous creature arrived and killed us. Something that happened halfway, we were not killed because my same state of tension made me keep an eye on everything, however, we did start to be followed by "something" that looked as if the girl in the wig "The Ring" had gotten into the game, a horrible thing, hahaha.

To my relief, the "The Ring" girl chase part was short-lived (hopefully she won't come back) and what followed was one of the funniest "puzzles" I've come across in this game. We got to a part where we were asked to get 20 people to stand on a platform in order to open a door. To achieve this, we had to take one of the helmets that control the failed experiments and go through three different floors collecting zombies, making them not only follow us, but also help us to solve obstacles to get the 19 zombies we needed. It was a bit of a long part, but it was really entertaining.

I still have the idea that despite being a very good game, entertaining, with an interesting design and very intuitive puzzles; it has a much lower difficulty than Limbo, I was expecting something even more challenging, since both are from the same studio, however, it turns out that this is the opposite of what I anticipated, I'm not complaining because I'm enjoying it a lot, and I'm not having such a bad time as with the crazy puzzles of Limbo.

Hola, amigos de #geekzone, hoy les comparto el inicio de una nueva aventura llamada Inside, este es un juego de plataformas y puzzles desarrollado por Playdead, los mismos creadores de Limbo. Al igual que en su predecesor, tomamos el papel de un niño que debe huir de un lugar lleno de peligros, aunque en esta oportunidad nos encontramos escapando de unos villanos que realizan experimentos en humanos en lo que parece ser un pueblo fantasma.

Comenzamos el escape en un bosque en el cual pronto nos encontramos a unos villanos que se encuentran transportando algo en unos camiones, supongo que se trata de humanos. Esta es una parte de mucho sigilo y estrés, ya que en el momento en el que los vigilantes nos ven nos comienzan a perseguir, a disparar y nos envían a sus perros rabiosos, me sorprendió que pude jugar con las dos manos y no morí mil veces como es costumbre. Una vez que escapamos del horrendo bosque, comenzamos a atravesar una especie de pueblo el cual se encuentra aparentemente abandonado.

Esta parte del pueblo fue realmente extraña, no sé si es un sitio en el que hubo un accidente y quedó completamente desierto, o si se trata de un pueblo creado especialmente para los experimentos de la dichosa organización que nos persigue. En ese sitio encontramos animales en descomposición, algunos incluso con gusanos, hay una parte bastante asquerosa que implica a un cerdo y gusano, la cual llegó a asquearme bastante, no la describo para que lo vean en el video si son lo suficientemente curiosos, jajaja.

A pesar de ser muy comparado con Limbo y de estar claramente inspirado por este, en Inside muchas cosas cambian. Se deja atrás el blanco y negro, para incluir algunos colores, que aunque no son muchos, cambian bastante el aspecto visual del juego. Otro cambio es la dificultad, quizás mi experiencia previa con Limbo me preparó para Inside, pero este último lo noté mucho menos desafiante, si bien es verdad que Limbo va aumentando de dificultad a medida que transcurre los minutos de juego, desde el principio se presenta mucho más desafiante que Inside.

En cuanto a mecánicas y jugabilidad me ha parecido bastante bueno e interesante, a pesar de solo realizar movimientos básicos como correr, saltar, empujar y arrastrar objetos, también se nos presenta la posibilidad de utilizar una máquina con la que lograremos controlar algunos de los zombis productos de los experimentos, los cuales se encuentran abandonados en los edificios del pueblo. Esto suena como algo turbio, y aunque si lo es, también resulta bastante interesante y divertido, ya que ellos actúan como una extensión de nosotros, pero en un plano diferente al nuestro.

Algo que me decepcionó es que el sonido no es tan siniestro como esperaba, no está mal, sin embargo, me faltaron detalles y acentos para hacer el escape aún más perturbador y estresante. Aun así me gustó este primer acercamiento, me sorprendió el no sufrir tantas muertes, pero eso también me da algo de paz mental, jajaja. Espero que en gameplays siguientes la dificultad aumente un poco para hacerlo más desafiante y entretenido.

Hello, #geekzone friends, today I share with you the beginning of a new adventure called Inside, this is a platform and puzzle game developed by Playdead, the same creators of Limbo. As in its predecessor, we take the role of a child who must flee from a place full of dangers, although this time we find ourselves escaping from villains who perform experiments on humans in what appears to be a ghost town.

We start the escape in a forest in which we soon find some villains who are transporting something in trucks, I guess they are humans. This is a part of a lot of stealth and stress, since the moment the vigilantes see us they start chasing us, shooting and sending us to their rabid dogs, I was surprised that I could play with both hands and I didn't die a thousand times as usual. Once we escaped the horrendous forest, we started to go through a kind of town which is apparently abandoned.

This part of the town was really strange, I do not know if it is a place where there was an accident and was completely deserted, or if it is a town created especially for the experiments of the organization that pursues us. In that site we found decomposing animals, some even with worms, there is a pretty disgusting part involving a pig and worm, which came to disgust me quite a lot, I do not describe it so you can see it in the video if you are curious enough, hahaha.

Despite being very much compared to Limbo and clearly inspired by it, in Inside many things change. It leaves behind the black and white, to include some colors, that although they are not many, they change the visual aspect of the game quite a lot. Another change is the difficulty, perhaps my previous experience with Limbo prepared me for Inside, but this last one I noticed it much less challenging, although it is true that Limbo increases in difficulty as the game minutes go by, from the beginning it is much more challenging than Inside.

In terms of mechanics and gameplay I found it quite good and interesting, despite only perform basic movements such as running, jumping, pushing and dragging objects, we are also presented with the possibility of using a machine with which we will manage to control some of the zombies products of the experiments, which are abandoned in the buildings of the town. This sounds like something shady, and although it is, it is also quite interesting and fun, since they act as an extension of us, but on a different plane than ours.

Something that disappointed me is that the sound isn't as sinister as I expected, it's not bad, however, I found the details and accents lacking to make the escapism even more disturbing and stressful. Still I liked this first approach, I was surprised not to suffer so many deaths, but that also gives me some peace of mind, hahaha. I hope that in following gameplays the difficulty will increase a bit to make it more challenging and entertaining.

Hola, amigos de #GeekZone. El día de hoy les traigo, al fin, la culminación de Limbo y solo puedo decir que fue una aventura difícil, pero satisfactoria. Para los que no saben de qué se trata, Limbo, es un juego de plataformas y puzzles, en el cual tomamos el papel de un niño quien se encuentra con la complicada misión de reencontrarse con su hermana, mientras atraviesa un lugar lleno de peligros y trampas. En este último capítulo nos encontramos con mecánicas y mecanismos mucho más desafiantes que en los anteriores, lo cual cobró mucho sentido cuando llegué a la secuencia final.

Lo difícil de este juego recae en que hay que pensar muy bien cada paso que damos, ya que dar uno en falso es una muerte garantizada. Esta vez tuvimos que sincronizar nuestros movimientos con la gravedad, la cual íbamos, hasta cierto punto del juego, manipulando mediante palancas y flechas. Sin embargo, llegamos a una parte en la que la gravedad comenzó a cambiar sola, con lo que pasábamos de estar caminando tranquilamente por el piso, a estar colgados del techo. Nuestra única señal para saber cuándo ocurriría el cambio era un suave tictac que se escuchaba de fondo y que en el momento más crítico dejaba de escucharse bien.

Durante estos 20 minutos tuve una cantidad increíble de muertes y de intentos fallidos, con decirles que grabé prácticamente el doble de tiempo de lo que dura este video, así que tuve que mucho trabajo de edición. Algunas partes se me dificultaron bastante, ya que había que ser sumamente exactos, esto aplicó sobre todo en la trampa final, en la cual de hecho tuve que tomarme un respiro y despejarme un poco porque ya me había desesperado de tantas muertes. Por suerte, esta técnica siempre funciona y pude llegar al tan ansiado final.

El desenlace del juego es algo agridulce, ya que al parecer no logramos salir del ese espantoso lugar, además de que no nos muestran si el reencuentro con nuestra hermana finalmente se concreta. Aun así, pienso que es un final totalmente adecuado para el juego, es más, creo que hubiera sido anticlimático y extraño encontrarnos con un final feliz, cuando todo el juego es lúgubre y turbio, por lo que lo considero acorde a la historia, a pesar de lo cruel que pueda ser para nuestro pequeño personaje.

En general, me pareció un juego muy bueno, realmente desafiante y que puso mi paciencia a prueba más de una vez. Visualmente, es interesante, el uso del blanco y negro está bien logrado, la sencillez de los personajes y del entorno construyen una atmósfera bastante siniestra. Además de eso, la musicalización es excelente, es de esos juegos que sí o si se tienen que jugar con audífonos y a un buen volumen para poder disfrutarlo a su plenitud. Si su diseño ayuda a construir un ambiente macabro, la música es la cereza del pastel para mantenernos en un estrés y en una ansiedad constante.

Hello, #GeekZone friends. Today I bring you, at last, the completion of Limbo and I can only say that it was a difficult but satisfying adventure. For those of you who don't know what it's about, Limbo, is a platform and puzzle game, in which we take the role of a boy who finds himself with the complicated mission of reuniting with his sister, while going through a place full of dangers and traps. In this last chapter, we find mechanics and mechanics much more challenging than in the previous ones, which made a lot of sense when I got to the final sequence.

The tricky thing about this game is that you have to think very carefully about every step you take, as making a wrong move is a guaranteed death. This time we had to synchronise our movements with gravity, which we were, up to a certain point in the game, manipulating with levers and arrows. However, we reached a point where gravity began to change on its own, so that we went from walking calmly on the floor to hanging from the ceiling. Our only signal to know when the change would occur was a soft ticking sound in the background, which at the most critical moment was no longer audible.

During these 20 minutes I had an incredible amount of deaths and failed attempts, to tell you that I recorded almost twice as long as this video lasts, so I had to do a lot of editing. Some parts were quite difficult for me, as I had to be extremely accurate, this applied especially in the final trap, in which I actually had to take a break and clear my head a bit because I had already despaired of so many deaths. Luckily, this technique always works, and I was able to reach the long-awaited end.

The ending of the game is somewhat bittersweet, as we don't seem to make it out of the dreadful place, and we are not shown if the reunion with our sister finally happens. Even so, I think it's a totally appropriate ending for the game, moreover, I think it would have been anticlimactic and strange to find a happy ending, when the whole game is gloomy and murky, so I consider it in keeping with the story, despite how cruel it may be for our little character.

Overall, I found it to be a very good game, really challenging and one that tested my patience more than once. Visually, it's interesting, the use of black and white is well done, the simplicity of the characters and the environment build a rather sinister atmosphere. Besides that, the music is excellent, it's one of those games that you have to play with headphones and at a good volume to enjoy it to the fullest. If its design helps to build a macabre atmosphere, the music is the icing on the cake to keep us in constant stress and anxiety.

Hola, amigos de #GeekZone. Hoy les traigo la continuación de mi aventura en Limbo, un juego de plataformas lleno de puzzles desafiantes y muchas, muchas muertes. En esta oportunidad me encontré con una cantidad diabólica (no puedo describirla de otra forma, lo siento, jajaja) de puzzles, trampas y nuevas mecánicas, que hicieron de esta parte del juego un completo desafío. Como siempre, tuve que hacer uso de la vieja técnica del ensayo y error, lo que ocasionó una cantidad incontable de muertes, las cuales intenté editar (en su mayoría), para no hacerlos sufrir todo lo que yo sufrí.

Además de nuevas mecánicas, que involucran la manipulación de la gravedad mediante imanes, también encontramos unas horrendas metralletas. Lo que me hace cuestionarme, ¿en qué clase de lugar estamos? Al principio parecía que estábamos en un bosque, después en un barco y ahora en una especie de fábrica mortal, creo que verdaderamente nos encontramos atrapados en una especie de limbo del cual no veo la hora de escapar.

Debo aceptar que esta parte del juego me costó muchísimo, no sé si fue por haberme sentado a jugar con un ligero dolor de cabeza (que terminó aumentando bastante) o que el juego realmente es diabólico. Hubo puzzles en los que de plano tuve que tomarme un tiempo para pensar qué movimientos tenía que hacer, ya que el "ensayo y error sobre la marcha" que aplico siempre, no me estaba dando buenos resultados. Siento que avancé muy poco para todo el tiempo que me llevé jugando, sin embargo, entiendo que ese es el espíritu del juego, solo espero que para la próxima si pueda culminarlo porque acabé un poco frustrada en esta oportunidad.

Hasta ahora puedo decir que es un juego genial, si les gustan los desafíos. No le he encontrado absolutamente nada malo, la jugabilidad, su diseño, la ambientación, la música, hasta ahora todo me ha gustado. Quizás si es un juego desafiante y algo frustrante, pero esa es la magia de Limbo y de este tipo de juegos. Lo único que espero es que le den un buen cierre en el que expliquen (o se dé a entender) qué es lo que está pasando.

Hello, #GeekZone friends. Today I bring you the continuation of my adventure in Limbo, a platformer full of challenging puzzles and many, many deaths. This time I encountered a devilish amount (I can't describe it otherwise, sorry, hahaha) of puzzles, traps and new mechanics, which made this part of the game a complete challenge. As always, I had to make use of the old trial and error technique, which resulted in a countless amount of deaths, which I tried to edit out (mostly), so as not to make them suffer as much as I did.

In addition to new mechanics, involving the manipulation of gravity by magnets, we also find some horrendous machine guns. Which makes me wonder what kind of place are we in? At first, it felt like we were in a forest, then on a ship and now in some kind of deadly factory, I think we truly find ourselves trapped in some kind of limbo from which I can't wait to escape.

I have to admit that this part of the game was really hard for me, I don't know if it was because I sat down to play with a slight headache (which ended up increasing quite a bit) or that the game really is diabolical. There were puzzles where I really had to take some time to think about what moves I had to do, as the "trial and error on the fly" that I always apply was not giving me good results. I feel that I made very little progress for all the time I spent playing, however, I understand that this is the spirit of the game, I just hope that next time I can finish it because I ended up a little frustrated this time.

So far I can say that it's a great game, if you like challenges. I haven't found absolutely nothing wrong with it, the gameplay, the design, the atmosphere, the music, so far I like everything. Maybe it is a challenging and frustrating game, but that's the magic of Limbo and this kind of games. The only thing I hope is that they give it a good ending that explains (or hints at) what's going on.
