The Bible is one unit rather than a jumbled collection of disjointed writings. The study of types and anti-types (among others) shows this to be true. The Old Testament is a foreshadow of the New Testament. It's been said that the Old Testament is the New Testament concealed and the New Testament is the Old Testament revealed. The foreshadows of the Christian Age, in the Old Testament are called types while anti-types refers to the realization of the primitive shadow. This lesson is a case in point. Romans 5 and 1 Corinthians 15 both speak of the similarities and differences between Adam and Jesus. The term type as used here is a biblical term and can be seen in Romans 5:14 in the English Standard Version. We hope you will enjoy this discussion, leave a comment and share it with someone.
